inf_frostbite - sequel to ctf_coolade
« on: December 04, 2006, 05:37:52 am »
My new infiltration map. Sequel to Wraithlike's ctf_coolade (found in Wraithlike's mappack). Comes with over 1000 polygons and a truckload of scenery (Muhahaha, I laugh at slow computers!)
Scenery from XTender and Serial K!ller. Extra thanks to Wraithlike for inspiration. And Keron Cyst for the layout of the blue base (inf_lawrence). It's not waypointed  :'(
Enjoy.

Nice layout, nice usage of scenery, nice multi-texturing. Altogether it's nice, but my only complaints are that the outer rim of polygons feels too thin and some areas could use more shading. Good job!

That looks great. Makes me jealous of the fact that you don't suck at map making.

this is the most crappy map that has ever been nominated for the MotW, i can tell you that now that we've playtested it.

this map has been playtested on motw and it was by far the worst map ever.
the main problem was: cant you put sceneries into a rar?
the black flag is too near to the bravos so its almost impossible to reach it and run.
the lowest route is isolated.
polybugs, stuck in the polys every 3 seconds.
texture glitches, overtightened texture.
polygon layout too plain.
scenery usage was lower than normal.
why was the sun dark?
did I mention everything?
