Date Posted: July 02, 2007, 07:45:49 AMI still need to get the hang of it, to get a alien weapon thats realy smooth...but i cant get it right...i will keep trying with the smoothness, ah well. i also need to learn the ingame gfx, who wanna help me with doing in-game gfx? sky? temp? esp?
And btw, if any1 can edit my weapon to make it more smooth, that would be awesome.

I shadded it like in the Espadon's tutorial
try to follow it bunney, we can do the weapons with that style, a little bit similar

ah the form of the beamers was great (not the long one ) try to recolour them

i can try. yeah i am doing espadons tut, but i now see what i were doing rong, i did to little changes in the color for the pixels, as u seen when u edited my weapon

You need to do more colour changes for the shaddes, or i need glasses
because they can't appreciate without looking the weapon in paint

Uh, no, Bunney. "Zerg" is a race in Starcraft and this is NOT a Starcraft mod. I was trying to think up of some stuff last night, and I came up with 3 factions:

TEC (Terran Exploration Corps) -- TEC Marines...
"Wraiths" -- "Wraiths" are the name given by the TEC to the almost invisible aliens...
Iznagk -- Not so sure about the name but they're skinny, clad in armor, and use organic weaponry. Meh.

The fourth could be warhounds. I guess they'll look like dogs. Sounds more like some exotic pet than a alien race to me though



To make smooth weapons, Bunney, use 1. smooth lines for the outline 2. few black lines inside the gun 3. "Shading" gradients that darken exponentially. That means the first degree of shading is just a tad bit darker, the 2nd degree is twice the first degree's and the 3 is double the 2nd...ya see what I'm getting at? And you need to kick the "pixel-size" detail habit. Don't do any details smaller than 1x2 or 2x1 pixels fron now on, all right? Either that or shade the gun first, put on the details later.

Transparent gosteks can only be made with PNG and alpha, so I'll probably be in charge of Wraith and TEC. I'll make a "cleaned up" Cryox Mk. II that will look more "TEC"-ish, and I love that TEC Saw. the Wraith "Zombies" will have faintly glowing "invisible" Wraith blades, and that will be the knife.

Thanks mucho for the help, Dairy. And there's not gonna be an "official" gun for TEC, Sky. I'm probably the best here with in-game weapons, but feel free to give the in-games a try guys.

I finished my new weapon personnaly i realy think its nice.
My New Weapon: Bit Bright But..ah well..
Feel free to modify it for me.

And maybe we could ad a 3d team to, a "Extra" team, kind of rebels/robots.
