it wouldn't be a war because ninjas can't beat pirates

Ninjas and Pirates are quite evenly matched actually... both fight using dirty tactics... contrary to popular belief, historically ninjas did not fight with honor, they cheated in many instances... if evenly squared off against an opponent in a blade dual they would often use tactics such as throwing rocks and sand to blind and distract them, using poison edged blades as well as poisoned darts and arrows, bombs, concealed secondary weapons. They would never fight a fair battle.

god yes, legos.

my first lego set was, um, jhonny thunder i think his name was, some desert dude who raided temples, basicly the indiana jones of legos, and i went crazy from there.

i got alot of technic legos too, those were cool, especially when you could encorperate them into classic lego designs..

legos helped make me want to become an engineer, with all the multi design kits that let you go crazy (like the one with the monkey that climbed arm over arm)

I remember those!  The Egypt sets were pretty cool.  I also liked Soccer (yes, soccer), Ninjas, Divers, Aquanauts/Aquasharks, Dragon Masters, and (going way back) Pirates, Blacktron, and the Crusaders.  Man, those were the days.

And of course, Technic was unbelievably sweet.  I still have one of those old pneumatic kits, the one with the blue pieces.

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

I got the 25th anniversary kit for my birthday when i was about 6, and I bought lots of star wars and castle sets to build gigantic battles. One of my favorites was when I made my own castle (w/o instructions) and a bunch of spaceships (w/o instructions)  Then i'd take all of my minifigs (about 15) and set them up so it looked epic

Have any of you tried the Mindstorm kits? Schools in my area build and program the robots and compete with them. I have to say, they're pretty sweet.

All my legos are lost now.  Probably given to my friend's little brother, can't remember.

I used to play with Legos and K'nex all afternoon every day, often creating standard models given by the book because I was lazy and had no creativity.

I want to make one of the Lego MechWarrior mechs. Like a MadCat or... Highlander.

Johny Thunder was the best thing ever what with the cool Amazon Ancient Ruins and Achu and his hat I love so much.

I believe the name for the aquaraiders franchise was "Aqua Zone"

Does anybody think the Old Wild West had the best set?

About the whole argument of age and playing Legos, I don't play with them anymore cause I don't have any, although it is just designing and building, only difference is that it is a smaller model of all those things.... BlueNinja, when you build my grandma's condo's, I will thank you for making that Star Ship crap ;-)

A guy on TV build a real life size desk out of 10,000+ lego.. it was amazing. Lego FTW! The only problem is, I can't make too many legos, then I'll run out.. it sucks. My parents won't buy anymore because they says "Oh you have enough"... BullS***..

Just buy small lego sets that costs less than $10, or one that your allowance can afford, and buy them every few weeks, so your parents won't notice the ever-increasing mass of legos you have.

EDIT: Oh yeah, check out this site. It's pretty sweet. I'm also envious of how many lego bricks he has at his disposal...

i sorta like Lego. but i don't have time to build them anymore, and they got boring because they don't move. that's why i play games like roblox or blockland.

I'm more of a K'nex kind of guy.

k'nex sucks. they pinch your fingers and hurt your fingers trying to build them, the round pieces keep going everywhere, and almost everytime i get a set, (or anyone else does) you're almost done, until, you find out the set doesn't has all it's parts! and now you can't finish it properly!.
uuuhhhh.......I like pop tarts. yay! :P

And K'nex ends up looking like a bunch of straws fastened together by bobby pins.

I loved plastic soldiers much more....plastic tanks plastic airforce plastic commando plastic jeeps plastic sandbags ...much more fun ....tactic ...and ...fun ? Lego was too childish - or maybe just not my cup of tea. Maybe coz I don't like pirates , urban\city stuff and the bounty hunters \ jungle guys style....but I found the medieval and the knight ages stuff cool....

Yeah, bionicles were cool. There are just too damn many of them.

Thanks for the advice. I have 60$ saved. Used 7 bucks on this cool set. The set was from the "City". City legos with the fire trucks, police cars etc. A lot of my stuff is crushed, and some of it I still have it shape like my X-Wing. Hopefully, I can save enough money to buy a DeathStar.. it was at the lego store for 299.99.
