Not sure about numbers, I'll go check. The law-border thing actually occurs in a lot of great mods, just because MM was stingy with the menu xD. Don't worry about it.

But yeah, the gauss is definitely too big. One thing I realized with my HLT mod is that oftentimes, other people ARE right. Like the the M7 smg, I had to change that gun's graphic a LOT since I first showed it off. I hated clipping my work at first, but looking back, it's really all for the better. I wouldn't go back to the old M7 graphic if someone offered me [insert valuable item].
CRYSO | HLT

    CRY0 | NAN0 2.1 | 0MEN 1.0 | PYR0 1.1M | B0RG 1.0

How about this edit?(it will be black/grey on the finished version when I use saturation in PS)

I'm having a little problems getting a good picture of the pistol. I can't even make screenshots as the beta blackens them. I'll see if it'll work with fraps.

So the gauss is still too big?

Was it to big in height? Because it's as big as the FY71. I recolored it too.

I suggest you to use much more colors ...your work is nice but it needs much more colors and shading gaps...

I checked this and... nothing special. Just 17x?? so it's good, if you really want make 16x?? but not smaller than 15x??, all guns needs to have similiar sizes, if you cant see at it, just make longer back.bmp and dont listen everyone who say you about tail from weapon-menu because they can replace that back.bmp to correct looking weapons.

-Skykanden- could you save it as something with less destroying compression?

Dairy i'll probably use more color on some of the later guns.

You know Henito Kisou I'll just remove the back.bmp. I can make a menu with the gun images.

BTW if someone wants to try what I have so far. Especially the interface as I don't have a registered copy of Soldat:
(Interface and some Sfx)

wip = work in progress

The DSG1 doesn't have a link I just put it there as it's one of the weapons that will be in the mod.

When I said you were limiting yourself to too few colors, I didn't mean you should use colors that weren't actually in the gun. I mean that there's so few colors involved in the shading it looks somewhat blocky and plastic.

*EDIT* Basically, same thing Dairy said.

I suggest you to use much more colors ...your work is nice but it needs much more colors and shading gaps...

I understood what you ment Lord Frunkamunch. This is pretty much my first attempt at shading and making pixel art. I'll try though.

*Added the Bauer Pistol*

Edit: Just got a better picture of the MPX8 and it's so wrong  :-X

Edit2: MPX8 remade.

MPX8 looks great. I still say you could use more color, but either way you've done a nice job on that one.

The handle of the Bauer pistol looks weird by normal pistol standards, but then again, I haven't seen the actual on from the game as a reference, so for all I know that could be what it looks like...

And I still say those pixels sticking out of the FY71 look out of place. Try something along these lines

Yes, my cut-n-paste sucks. This is an EXAMPLE, remember?

I decided to keep to the color ammout the same for now. I can't be bothered changing all of the weapons.

The handle makes it a little wierd. The pixel that stands out makes it seem bended but it's like that(or at least looks like that to me). I can't show you a pic of it as it'll break the NDA for the beta.

As for the FY71. I will look into it once more and look at yours.

I love your style, though a bit too large, it's very nice. Good work =]

It would be good if your SCAR clip was curved upwards at the bottom instead of pointed down so that it resembles the picture better =]

Colouring is very good and do you wish to make them shinier? More dynamic look?

Thanks. You say too big I say too small ::D

I'm note sure if I can make it good looking. Just look at the FY71.

For now I'll keep them the way I have them and I don't really know how I can make them shiny.

First you gotta make sure that you differentiate between the parts you want brighter and the parts you want dark. Then it's just a simple matter of running a 'sharpen' tool over them. Works wonders =]
