ctf_zombcave - a work in progress
« on: December 23, 2007, 08:46:54 pm »
Here is a second zombie map that I'm working on so far, and it's far from unfinished.

Have a look at the screenshots and speak your mind.

Screenshot #1
Screenshot #2
Screenshot #3

(And yes, the screenshots are taken in order of how I progressed through the level)

rather ugly brown col#.bmp sceneries used there. the rock texture fits "moss" more than "rock"
the bridge...

Yeah, the bridge is kinda bright, because of the overhead moon. In the first screenshot, you can see the lights are white, whereas in the third screenshots, the lights are yellow. I had it changed to yellow after I took the first screenshot.

The bridge's look is pretty average, I wanted to avoid cluttering the bridge with a bunch of rope.bmp sceneries to hide the zombies. It's more of a "dock" bridge than a "jungle" bridge.

the lights are kind of too bright- try 25%-20% opacity. The bridge should be 2x darker.

Texture looking is nice, but the bridge is very bright, it would look good you place the moon above it.

Why is the torch under the bridge so smoky ? I mean its a small torch and the smoke is too dense/heavy. (dunno the right word)

Good point. I suppose I'll make the smoke like 3x smaller.

I've also fixed the brightness of the cave lamps and the bridge, and also made the water a little bit darker.

And the moon is above the bridge.
