CTF_Explore2 - Another puzzle map

ctf_Explore2 - Another puzzle map by Tim (KamikazeDuck) Jeffs

A detailed description:

This is the sequel to ctf_Explore, a puzzle map I made last year. I actually began this right after releasing ctf_Explore but school got in the way. It's now completely finished and I also have a fixed version of the original which you can download too which has a few changes (added flags, the player can't fall left of alpha's spawn, minor polygon tweaks). I guess I can say this has been a year in the making...

People said the last one was too short and a bit easy. ctf_Explore2 is much longer and it is definitely harder. I'm sorry if it lags on your computer, that's the price to pay for having nice visuals and a massive map.

Screens that give away nothing:

To tell the truth, I'm almost giddy to play this map ;D. Awesome... I loved the last map so this oughta be really really supreme, beyond compare.

60 minutes? That's insane...makes me even more giddy. Something about one of the little screenshots. This reminds me of an adventure story or something.

I'm glad you're all liking the map. It's a good feeling to finally have it finished.

I don't think it will take you as long as 60 minutes but it's better to be safe than sorry. It can be very fustrating when you're right near the end and the time runs out.

I climbed it in a little over 20 minutes...its confusing at parts though. At the windmill I had no idea where to go till I got pushed off xD.

Is that a dam on the far left of the map, Kami?

Yeah, just finished it. It took me about 35 minutes :-\. At times, it was very confusing.

 :-[

//off topic//I think I'll make a map similar. Journey to the mainland across sea to travel an epic journey over land. Maybe it will be several maps just to capture the weather effects right... and to capture the small enemy encounters just right as well, just so you don't have to die and respawn at the beginning. Well, that's my goal. I'd also combine several of my maps...possibly. //off topic//

Yeah, enough of my fantasizing. Back to real life.

Blacksheepboy, try not to give away the solutions. ;) Maybe you could edit it and make the text very small so people can choose whether they want to read the spoilers or not

It's good to hear the map has inspired you!

Is that a dam on the far left of the map, Kami?

It was actually going to be a dock but I decided to change where the finish was.

<33333 awesome map.
BombSki, don't worry, a noob such as me done it in 11 minutes and I was really confused at some parts(i think its possible under 5 minutes).
I really like the layout, the jumps aren't really hard, but thats a puzzle map.
It isn't something really not-logical.

Geekier than you!

I just played it on c-s.net us server and everyone was like "OMG ITS BEST MAP EVER".
Popularity of this map is just awesome.
You just want to play it again and again.

it is possible in under 5 minutes if you know exactly where to go.

That's what I mean.

I've done this map in just under 7 minutes. No shortcuts.

Just to let you guys know it's possible.

Thanks for removing the solutions BSB.

Some climbing sections were slightly harder than they are now but I ended up making them a bit easier so there wasn't too much emphasis on the climbing in the map while still giving a reason to play it again.

That's a great time Blue-ninja... I think I'll try and beat it.

This map is incredbile. It is a nice idea to use a position saving script on this map, just too lose alot of frustration, but that might spoil it ;) I am about to use it. I did not play on the First Ctf_Explore, but this looks fun.
