Christmas is TOO slow
« on: December 05, 2007, 08:13:05 pm »
As if it wasn't enough for my parents to get me a laptop, they let me pick which one! It's a powerful laptop from Gateway with some of the latest NVidia software, Vista Home Premium, 140 GB HDD, DVD-ROM, 2 GB of RAM, and IT'S A FRIGGIN' LAPTOP! My old comp (Which I am posting this from) is a crappy Compaq desktop with 40 GB HDD (only 3 GB left...) 248 MB of RAM (Total... CRAP), XP SP2 (Meh, decent), god knows what old video card, and... it's a desktop that happens to be 4 1/2 years old, and it's crappin' out on me.

Now, as though it wasn't crazy enough on my anxiety to get to CHOOSE my laptop, I got to TEST-RUN it today! I am going to die waiting the next 20 days for fecking Christmas! WHY WON'T IT HURRY UP!?

Yah, just felt like typin' that up. What are YOU expecting for Christmas that (maybe) excites you?

Wow. Slick computer, man! How much does it cost, though? Mine was only around $500 (And after the test-run, I am guaranteed it was WAAAY worth the money.) Even if you have to wait until January, that's  quite the machine to be waiting on. :P

It'll be around $2500. Hopefully it'll get cheaper and/or newer hardware will come.

Bleh.

I don't know what I'm getting, and it's only going to be one gift... that's about it. It's nothing big, though, I know this already - my parents are very stingy.

Awwww, didn't you leave? Or did you get lonely when no one followed you to your super-forum?

Anyway I have no clue what I am getting, since I will be leaving as soon as I can after.  I doubt it will be anything too great. My mom was talking about a DS as a possibility. I really don't care what I get for Christmas.

What do you do when you have to travel? Take your entire computer with you?

Beating dead horses is fun isn't it? I wonder is PETA has a problem with that...

Work = Computer in my office, Vacation = anywhere else

I don't take work tools with me when I'm not working :)

This X-Mas I will be sitting on the back porch in the snow with a drink in my hand overlooking the Ohio river. No computer needed.

Our laptops are definitely better gifts than... whatever it is you want to do without a computer. Having a laptop is a VERY good thing, because not only do you have a powerful comp, but you can take it anywhere! Mwuhaha!

(Do you play Soldat at work!? If so, maybe you should invest in a HOME computer. *cough*Laptop*cough*)

This christmas I can't wait to ignore my family!

Oh, and laptops are overpriced and shitty.

For the first time in my life, I have no idea what I want for Christmas. By now I've always had something in mind. Hm.

Christmas sucks!
I hate it, shopping for people is stupid and then you get them something which you put alot of thought into and they're like, Oh...meh thanks.
And they just give you a small sum of money and say, i didn't know what to buy you.
Christmas eats ass.
Lol, internets.

All I really want is Super Mario Galaxy, cognac-style glasses and perhaps a blootooth headphones.

Also for my name-day in a week I'm getting an english-to-romanized japanese dictionary, probably some random candy and money from my parents to buy christmas presents with. \o/

I probably won't get anything expensive. I don't want anything, not into christmas that much... maybe some pants or t-shirts or something. Had to cash alot of money to buy a new motherboard/CPU/videocard/ram because my old comp got fried. I understand our financial status, so I won't act so spoiled and ask for pricey stuff.
