Workin' NV!
« on: December 19, 2007, 12:37:32 pm »
So yesterday I made working night vision! You can see how it works on included screens. Ok but it almost works... Why? Because it looks s*ity as sniper line and it works bad as a cursor. So have you got any prepositions where can i put it? Post comments etc.

Btw: I made it for my UniForces mod that I'm remakin' now.

gosteks.

No way. Gosteks files have to be in small size (36x36 or something like this). The best would be Interface part but... hmm... maybe arrow?

No sense. In game gfx can't be larger than 36x36 pixels :-\

Btw: Looks s*ity with arrow.

well maybe just 'decoration' like you did with the other one (from night forces i think)
Change the white part by something similar like that one

You could always make a registered interface with a whole-screen overlay.

Dont trust (blind) in all Soldat messages, this is exception. MM again, forgot update that info in polish language).
Fake for weapons: 36x36
Fake for gosteks:   12x12
Real gosteks limit is: 16x16
Real weapon limit is: 64x64
Both tested, see english info.

Ow, this is awesome. PaFel you should get some extra price for inventing brand new revolution system to modding. ^^

Sadly I have no idea in what place you should use this. Honestly I would be really glad if in the new announced version would be the dynamic light system....unfortunately It wouldnt be.

For now everything that I want from new version is new .ini with more options and this.

Btw: This would be the best prize :)

I support this innovation. This would be sweet to see in TW maps. This would definitely be a new mode... well, if you have darkened maps and this interface or at least the working NV part of it is required to be able to play.. see anything. Not all may like it, but I personally like having a bit of stealth in games. This would be the ultimate in Stealth, sneaking up on enemies and also making sure you aren't spotted by someone else. Good Job. :)

Impressive. But do we need nightvision in Soldat? That is the question.

In his mod yes, if we do back maps and with some style to be able to hide in the dark it will be really funny. But in normal games (online) if there is nota sever it's not going to work so much

In dark maps - it would be usefull.

- But we don't have much night maps.
- It would make a chance to make some :)

But I quess this will be implemented at last in the Link-dead.

Seriously, MM will not implement the dynamic lightning into soldat (as far as I know) so without a clever modding idea this couldnt live... : (
