How to get better in Soldat?

Do you guys have any tips for getting better in Soldat?
I'm not totally noob, but as everyone else, I would like to get better.
So how do you practice? Is playing with noobs hindering your proccess?
Does only time matter? Are there any methods?
Any help is welcome! Thanks,

Play more, join a clan if you want all the trouble of dealing with annoying people and less of the fun. Gathers are suppose to be nice though...

Yea Gathers are good.
Playing in servers with lots of ppl is good to.

Try playing with bots the very first time you play.

Also eat meat, lots of it.


Just play every day and you will eventually get better. If you like CTF for example, be in the team with less players if its unbalanced like i do. This way theres more bodies to massacre.

And try to play realistic mode. I think if you become good on realistic, you're also good on normal mode.

As already mentions gathers, for me seem to work the best: 3v3 CTF, a lot of good players play in them. If you want to play them download mIRC, or any IRC program.

If you are North American: #sna.gather @ quakenet
and if you are Euro: #soldat.gather @quakenet

Although gathers arent necessarily the only way to get good, it is probably the quickest and more fun way to do it.

If you aren't that good yet, I'd steer clear of gathers for now. Getting beaten into the ground by people way beyond their level of skill never helped anyone.

- Play lots
- Ask someone for ingame tips
- Practice on your own vs Bots (it does help)
- Learn the mancer ways...

Oh ya and if you play against your bots you can modify your guns to all very good and leave one sucky and when you play only take the crapy one

Actually im not that bad, on random servers I always come first or second in a DM, but when i meet the pros i just fail ^^.
Thats why i felt like i needed a bit more practice.

- play 24/7
- play with skilled people
- ask for some ingame tips
- aim well before you shoot(i just shoot sometimes, doesen't help very vell ;D)
- play realistic
