The only thing that bugs me about the newer C&C games is the inability to zoom out enough. I feel too close to the action; I want a broader, more strategic view of the action. Maybe not to the extreme of Supreme Commander, but a bit more than there is currently.

Bugs me too, thats why I wanted to give supreme commander a chance.

In particular, experimentals such as the mobile factory move much faster so they are actually viable units, and the rebalancing means that you end up having 4 or more of them in the time you would have had 1 previously. I would suggest you try it out.

as for RA3, last time they made a 3d c&c strategy game with asians as the 3rd army it was utter crap (see; Generals)
I'll give the expansion a chance though.
I didn't really like the newest game too much, just as I didn't like Generals. The series has become stale now that Westwood is out of the picture. I have low expectations for this one, though I'll probably end up buying it as always...
