ok guys, this is my take on the magnum gun i posted earlier*edit* includes a large bullet, take a look if you wish

Here is a sample:The two squares, as you can see, they cover the images, making the affected area darker, like putting tinted glass over them. and you can also see that they make the blue background of the message board darker. basically it automaticly generates a darker shade of a colour prior to what it's background is. You can have all different shades depending on what shade your using, they range from light to dark and you can make them any colour. You should be able to do that in GIMP but I use Paint.NET It's good for making shaddows of your guns. Try it, put a dark(ish) border around the outside of your gun, then put a lighter border around that one, and keep going until the shaddow is complete. It's very hard to master so take your time.Edit: also try doing it with a green shaddow, so you could make a simple green line glow green like a laser
The funny thing is I like the Non AA version better...
Non-AA works best if you're doing modern weapons... Use alpha only if you're doing glowing crap. Don't turn out like TbC, please!!!Look what you've done. Now I'm going to go QQ.
