Shuriken (Again? Yup. But different!)
« on: July 20, 2006, 08:03:32 am »
Hello,

As a long-time knife-user, I noticed that there were lots of people that were looking for throwing stars as secondaries, yet there was no mod out there that seemed to look like "classic" throwing stars (most looked either a bit too overloaded or were a tad too big to be used in battle properly), so I decided to share the shuriken I made myself a year ago.

A Kunai? Sure thing, just give me a minute :)
(I ike the idea, wonder why I didn't think of it myself ^^)

(Don't expect too much tho, I'm working with paint only on this PC...well, but that's enough if you put some effort into it ^^)

Thanks for the positive responds everyone, I'm glad people seem to like it ^^

Neat. I probably won't use it (always been quite partial to knives,) but this is really well done.

cant u just download WinRar or install it from a pc magazine cd/dvd. they always have utilities just like that.

And BTW cool shuriken , me myself once made a laser disk that looked really cool when thrown and made a nice blue/cyan trail

I got GIMP on my other PC, though I'm not really good with it (yet ^^)
Though it would make shading way easier, for sure...should try it out somewhen ^^

Thx :)

That's sweet, but for the weapons-gfx I made it smaller, more realistic but, it doesn't look as sharp and isn't easy to notice, hell it's soldat anyway. I think it's better than the older one.

a Kunai would be cool, but a kunai supposedly flies straight right?...Soldat knives spin so it would be a little akward...Wait do they spin? I dun even notice no more x_x

Very good indeed!! These shurikens fly straight and spin well but in your kunai thread you said that they didnt fly well? Is this a new or modified shuriken? Anyways Great much better than knife.
