Heres a mod of my colt... for all to see :)

Golden Colt 1911s from the movie "Face/Off". I know they look like crap, but who cares. (Not me)
Just another soul to burn.

Single pixel-width barrels are kind of a no-no. You want at least 2 pixels, [usually 3] so that the weapon shows up well in both light and dark maps.

Well, I think the dithering makes them look like crappy jpegs.

It's also sometimes an attempt at making a texture (switching up the light and dark colors so that the surface won't appear completely flat) Light isn't going to hit the entire gun at the exact same angle, it will be blocked by ruts in the gun.
I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.

Very nice G3A3 Dairy!

Magus, Make barrel thicker and I'll use it.  Nice outline so far!

Thanks man.

If you want my advice, do at least something with the front grip and the magazine.  I dunno about the middle bit at this stage, I'll upload it but if you fix that I will replace ;)

First of all, you don't have to do this if you DON'T WANT TO.  If you cant take it that I don't like your weapon and/or I don't want to upload it, you have every right to feck off.

Second, It still doesn't look much different I will not upload it.

Finally, i already have that other outline you posted, and I'm not uploading it because you haven't made a real effort.

You have a lot of potential in my opinion, try bring it out.

I know I don't have to do this, but in an effort to possibly learn something, I thought I'd try making some more weapons... perhaps if you were more specific instead of saying "i don't like your middle." Why not? What's wrong with my foregrip and magazine? If you don't like what I've done, what SHOULD I do? If all I'm told is that I'm doing something wrong but not what it is, how the hell am I gonna figure out how to change? Whatever you say, if anything, don't say dithering because that makes them look worse.

Alright.  Look up a pic of an M4.  Put the details of the pic inside your gun.  I'm not telling what they are because you have to do it.  It takes a while to get some small things right, so only put essentials.  There is a rule I follow with my modding,  If you can't put in a small detail, just make the rest of the weapon "feel" like it's got that detail.  Go play  around with your guns a bit.

Btw mang, you have a silver and gold version, how do you convert the silver into gold?  Is there a feature like that in photoshop or what?

Newer Photoshop versions will actually saturate monochrome. Or you can use overlay and paint over with yellow to saturate. Or the easier way is to start with a golden deagle and desaturate to make silver.
