Could not save settings...
« on: November 14, 2008, 10:12:22 pm »
Well I wanted to play soldat on my newly reformatted computer. So I installed it and rebooted my PC. but when I click the soldat icon. it comes up with "could not save settings" and "could not create file c:\soldat\maplist.txt" Yes I'm running vista and i'm on a administrative account. I disabled windows defender/firewall and checked if any of the soldat files were on read only mode. But i still get that annoying error message. Help please.

First time I've heard of a problem such as this.

Only suggestion I have is to reinstall Soldat and see if that helps.

Quick question: have you explicitly given Soldat administrator rights as well (right-click the shortcut)? I might be mistaken, but I recall merely playing whilst logged in as an admin is not enough in certain cases.

Whoops, the run this program as admin box wasn't ticked. I though it was. Thanks, it works now. Why does Vista has to be such a pain.
