I was on Alpha team (improbable), and my teammate threw the flag at a bravo guy, because that guy was bleeding so bad, he thought he was alpha.

Hehe, I think that's happened to me before too. ;)
I somewhat agree with what Crimson said, I like to spray too.
But I'm sure this has happened to everyone at a time, and it's happened to me, and it's funny how my team gets mad then especially if it's a gather. :S

Enable "Clanmatch" in Soldat Setup and you won't have that problem anymore...
That's a server side option, Niko. Not many admins use it, so problem not solved.
That is NOT a serverside option, because I used it some time ago, it sucked, but i had no problem on knowing what team was every one.

I used to do it alot more when I was a noob, rarely now, but it happens.  I sometimes shoot people who are hurt so badly it look like they are red.

True dat, it's annoying as hell when they wear reds clothes on bravo and they're bleeding like s***

It is. Turn it on and go into a server. I bet you nothing will change.

That can be annoying. Recently there was a number of times when I got killed by a red guy with blue pants and hair simply because I didn't notice he was actually red. But oh well, if you're not completely slow - it's not hard to deal with it.

Being new to online Soldat, I've been kicked quite a few times for accidentaly head-shotting my teammates who are stupid enough to have red dreadlocks and red pants. But hey, I can usually get away with it by pretending to be a Pole. "no speak english"

For a new player, i think its a common problem, because its hard to realize, whats going on in the battlefield. I had that problem, when i even kept loosing my enemies, when alot of teammates appear on screen and start running, shooting, dieing etc.

For me...well my team member can be even full colored like the opposite team, i'll hit him probably 1 out of 10 times on attempt "to kill an enemy". Infact, that "full colored like the opposite team" happens sometimes, when one of my team mates, due to color bug, becomes like an enemy, even i see him as an enemy. Just simple rules i follow:
1. I know every teammates, that is near me, but offscreen, possitions, which i determine by their nicknames, that are always present on screen sides.
2. Since i play only realistic, i simply can't say that he's my enemy, if i see him, but he's in a place, were i shouldn't see him if he was an enemy (behind walls, behind me etc.)
3. Sometimes, if i get disturbed and miss upper two rules, i can determine, whether he's enemy or not, by the direction, he's running to, and overall flag situation.
4. Even watching his aim direction can tell me, whether he's my enemy or not, but still combined with overall situation.

So, just learn to watch, not only kill opposite team colored players.  ;)
