One word. No. - How can you shoot such a heavy weapon in mid-air whilst at the same time trying to actually hold it.
Same goes with the minigun

Yeah, exactly. Actually I think it is physically possible to fire law while standing, but it's impossible in Soldat due to balance issues.
After all in free fall your weapon is weightless.

although I voted no, maybe this is possible with some kind of compromise for the rocket when its launced mid-air? Like increased pre-fire delay, or more reload, sounds reasonable to me that someone fireing a rocket midair is going to struggle aiming it as well as reloading..

It would be either overpowered (if it can shoot in mid-air) or underpowered (if you nerfed it too heavily).

If you want to know how a M72 LAW is like if it can fire in mid-air,

Replace your current Barrett (MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!) with these stats offline:

[Barret M82A1]
Damage=150000
FireInterval=30
Ammo=1
ReloadTime=480
Speed=230
BulletStyle=12
StartUpTime=21
Bink=0
MovementAcc=1
Recoil=0

It'd be something like that (other than the scope). That's really overpowered if you consider THAT for a secondary.

In fact, it was made before.

Quote from: Soldat wiki
The LAW was added on 13-6-2003 in version 1.1.4 together with the Combat Knife and Chainsaw. (Before 1.1.4, the USSOCOM was the only secondary.) Upon conception, the LAW could be fired in mid-air while proning or crouching. This allowed much greater versatility when used, thus causing it to be considered overpowered, leading to subsequent nerfings.

The best thing was the law bug to cheat the reload time. You could do some great artillery fire on crowded pubs.

ahh i see, now i agree that being able to shoot the law while while in the air would be way overpowered

tsup.

You can't shoot LAW while standing, can you? If shooting would only be possible when you're proning (or crouching) the time you got to shoot the LAW is pretty short.

You can't shoot while standing. It doesn't take very long to crouch or prone, what really takes a while is the amount of time taken for the LAW to fire, which can be solved by reducing that startup time.

I voted no because LAW is heavy weapon, and if we take realistic mode in SOLDAT:
In real life you cannot fly in mid air and at the same time shoot with LAW
(it's impossible for most of the people)

What makes LAW a unique weapon is the fact that you can't move around much while shooting it. With being able to shoot it in mid-air not only makes it too powerful among secondaries, but also makes it less unique and interesting to use.

I have to agree that the main weakness of the law is the weak mobility when using it (as well as reload...). Taking the most important weakness away would be silly.

It would make the law as a sniper, i think the balance between the secondary guns are ok as it is.
