Set to 2%, on my 250GB hard drive. Though it still says that I have 3.99GB reserved for it. Know why?

Try running CCleaner. See what that does.

Try running CCleaner. See what that does.

I use CCleaner each day, and I did it once again today, but it did nothing. I also noticed that if I set it to 3%, it's still 3,99GB, and if I set it to 1% is 2,32GB... Any way to make it to be like.... 200MB? if it's impossible I'll definitively disable it because it's useless.

I tend to empty it when it had any more than like 5 things in it. But then I just packrat my files and never delete them (I have games I haven't played in years I haven't felt like deleting)

^That. I just empty it every time I delete something. I'd remove the recycle bin and just use the straight-to-delete option if I weren't paranoid about my family doing something stupid.

In all honesty, I rarely use ubuntu/gnome's gui when it comes to deleting files and just use the command line's rm command, which there is no "undelete" for. After years of doing this, I've only accidentally deleted something important once.
