When you press "throw grenade" button, gostek plugs the pin from the grenade (after that point grenade is armed, so it should explode no matter what) and throws is. However, if you are killed before you release "throw grenade" button, throwing is cancelled. It looks like grenade magically disappears if thrower is killed!
I suggest that if you are killed when throwing a grenade, grenade should fly and explode just like it would if you'd release "throw grenade" button just before dying.

What do you think? Please vote and post comments.
Please don't vote "no" only because you think this would make nades overpowered; this can be solved by nerfing them in other way.

Yeah. I vote yes, it's just weird. THis isn't adding realism, just a bit of good COD4 martyrdom (Sort of). But I don't really mind, I hate all the explosives in Soldat.

I sense more kamikaze attacks. Purposely running towards someone, then nade when you're about to die.

I don't mind this suggestion... but damn, I wouldn't want to see more kamikaze attacks than necessary.

well, on realistic ( i mean this usually for trenchwars) it would be good, just to nerf the nade, make it to not explode on collision, buff the weps (and saw, give it a longer range and shorter reload) and add a lot of coliders (so you have actually to hide behind colider scenery)

So let me get this right... You think that when you get half way through throwing a grenade and get capped, that that grenade shouldn't go off?

This would be great, I am tired of being picked off right before the nade leaves my hands. Plus, it takes about a second to actually pull the pin and chuck it, and when I get picked off, it really pisses me off knowing I could've killed that ass.

well... since the nade would be flying in the air, I say yes. so you just don't kill the other guy while trowing the nade, no no. You were too slow? good for you.
But having it being thrown in the air is a marvelous idea.

I'm not all opposed to the idea, but I'd rather have it so you'd drop the grenade, not actually throw it.

I'd say only for realistic because soldat isn't real lif, but that is what realistic mode is supposed to be like.

I would love that idea to be implemented as an option. And not just for realistic servers.
It's a bit gay when grenade is just a tick away from being thrown, but you get killed. It can go flying in a random or opposite direction or just drop on the ground, but not magically disappear. This would make gameplay more interesting too.

Why not make it simpler? so if you die when you have nades, one of those nade will detonate.

If you didn't pull the pin out - grenade shouldn't explode. If grenades detonate without pulling out the pin first - every time someone dies there would be explosions everywhere because 80% of the time players have at least one nade.

No, you gotta make some effort and at least manage to pull the pin out, otherwise it's just cheap. ;/

Yeah, just make it so if you are currently throwing the grenade, and the gostek is past pulling the pin, the grenade should drop and roll until it explodes.

I think it can be thrown, but with less speed than normally (normally=when you not die when throwing).
If player dies right after pulling the pin (before making actual throw), grenade would be dropped, but if he is shot when he almost finished his throw, grenade would fly almost like normally.

No, if you got shot while holding a grenade, you would either drop it, or keep hold to it. It will still go off, but it will roll away. This is what I say should be done.
