If we cut that we would be MUCH more prevalent in the world's economy. So if we spend less on our military, our GDP will go... up?Take an economics class.

Say, health care or maybe, science. The USA is far behind many other developed countries because we spend so much on the military.
its cheaper for them to walk into an ER where they need to be treated.
They're why health care costs so much. making us pay even more for them to have health care will not only ruin our economy and rape the middle class so hard they'll all drop below the poverty line.

Prevention is many times cheaper than treatment.
It's okay for America to lower it's military budget, until you notice they're no longer covering your ass anymore.

The laughter, it hurts.
Quote from: iDante on January 21, 2009, 09:41:14 pmPrevention is many times cheaper than treatment. Thats just simply not true. A lifetime of proper diet and exercise and medication with no insurance isn't even close to as cheap as bypass surgery.

We are on the cutting edge of science because we are on the cutting edge of industry.

You guy's have to realize that the era for the US is nearly done. The Chinese will become the next world superpower. Also, technology wise, US is behind the Europeans.
now he wants to screw with the amendment so he won't be limited only to 2 presidencies. that's mighty democratic of him.

You are wrong. We can debate that later (or now if you like, though I am right).

e: also progressive taxation serves to force the richest people to pay more tax rather than middle class. trickle-down economics is bulls**t, tax the f**k out of the rich and you won't bankrupt the middle class.
This would bring the whole North American and Mexico under one same currency. Think about it, it's an easy way to clear all the debts they have now, and restart.
