For a foreigner who hates America, I don't think they would ever draw a distinction between our citizens and our government unless a close friend was American.

I'd say probably not. Though it's faulty to do so, I think people think of the States as one big, patriotic unit.

The main reason why I tend to dislike USA is just because of some/a lot of the people in it...

And one example of idiocy given to us:

Someone comes over here, vandalizes, then gets caught, faces rightfully deserved punishment - which would have been the same to any other person in Singapore. What do we get from some of the people in USA? Bunches of protests against the punishment, and even Bill Clinton was against it. Hell, if you enter our country, you follow our rules.

It's the same with Germany, I reckon. They did these horrible things 65 years ago, but people still remember and hate them for it. None of us were around to be offended by them, and none of them are now around to have offended any of us. But still this predudice holds on. It's really dumb.

I guess Scotland should still be pissed at us for raiding them during the viking age. And Sweden, I'd apologise for not including you in the Danish/Norwegian kickass kingdom back in the day, but I'm still mad at you for crossing the ice at Skåne and attacking Copenhagen. Damn you for that, DAMN YOU!
