Did you use any special brush for that one?  (wondering about the texture on the arms, legs and ribs).

These brushes are not made by me. And that Deviant Art gallery is not mine.

Interesting technique.
Wallpaper #1: I like the background, but the bewel on the text was a bad idea (no offence). Also, text looks a bit too small. Normally, you should either have smaller logo somewhere in the corner, or a big one closer to center, one that really stands out. Right now you have an unimpressive small text with a bit lame bewel effect almost in the center, which looks awkward.
Look for some kind of "stone text" tutorials and try that.

Wallpaper #2: I think it turned out quite nicely, except for the bewelled parts closer to the center (more or less experienced photoshop users will easily tell it's a "plastic wrap" filter). To make it look like plasma - try coloring it into a lot of different colors. I think that's what plasma should be like. Something like this:

Personally, I think DarkCrusade did a better job of capturing the 'comic book' feel.
I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.

Silhouettes are fun
For signatures, you are allowed only one image in your signature which may not be wider and taller than 300 and 125 pixels, and may not be over 20kB in file size. No BMPs are allowed.

Wow, given the tools that you seem to be working with, that's pretty darn impressive.

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

Well I had gotten Photoshop 7.0 on this computer because I still had the disk, I don't have any of my old brushes so I was just messing around with the standard round ones.  Not too bad to make outlines and stuff, used the eraser to make the beak sharp :D

Add a filter on the right side and work on the plant since you have more than 30 colors on the mask and just 1 on the plant, BUT I like it

I sense small amount of critique. You are very pragmatic to be honest.
