Heil line shading! I used to shade with lines too when I was a.. younger.

All my drawings are shaded that way, and maybe get a color layer too.

the halo fan Nice cartoon style. Not everyone can get it right. But that actually does look very much like a cat.

DarkCrusade Nice crosshatching. Reminded me of that: http://www.hyphon.com/illusions/maze-of-stairs.jpg

Maybe I should post something drawn on paper too. <_<
Still haven't received my new tablet.

@Loner: Yeah, you found my inspiration :P That's why it isn't colored, Grimbad. What tablet did you buy?

Intuos4 (medium)
I've searched if there are any other good ones, but looks like this is the most popular choice right now and the reviews are very good. I just hope it'll last much longer than my previous tablet. :S

Wacom is always a good choice. I'm using a Wacom Bamboo Fun right now, pretty basic, but good, and your choice looks plain awesome. Lets just hope it's as good as the picture lets you think it is :)

Since we're talking tablets, I'm thinking about getting that exact one (8.5" x 5.5") once I start my full-time job.  However, is it worth the cost to get the 12.8" x 8" one instead? 8.5" x 5.5" seems like a really small space to draw on, though IIRC that's what Espadon uses, and his stuff seems to turn out alright.  Any thoughts?

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

Yes. A sketch pad that essentially lets you move the mouse as if you were drawing with a pencil, but in this case it's a stylus.

Well the thing to remember though is that unlike in real life, when you zoom in or out, the magnitude of your movements also translate correspondingly. You can't cover a huge canvas with even an arm motion in life, but if you zoom out a lot on a huge digital canvas, you can cover a huge swath with a flick of the wrist. That said, there's no big difference between a large tablet and a small one; screen resolution is more of a factor than anything. In fact, if you're a lazy person that likes to just stick with wrist motions, get the smallest one. Even the medium version requires an arm motion to move your mouse around.

My friend has a larger tablet and he complains it's too clumsy to tote around anywhere -- a medium tablet is already the size of a 15" laptop, so that's no surprise. I think, in the end portability and price are the main issues to be concerned about. A bigger tablet doesn't magically make you a better or more experienced artist.

It's a thing that you plug into your computer to transform it into a gigantic Nintendo DS

Just a heads-up: May 20th is Everybody Draw Muhammad Day, so I expect a lot of Muhammads here.

I never find furries very original, but you certainly got anatomy and angle executed quite well there.
