You know GunGame from CS? Maybe make sth like that? I know there is advance mode but it gives rendom weapons...If it was made like in GunGame it needs certain number of kills to get new, better weapon.

Which part of the script? What minigame are you talking about?

You know GunGame from CS? Maybe make sth like that? I know there is advance mode but it gives rendom weapons...If it was made like in GunGame it needs certain number of kills to get new, better weapon.


The thing is, each weapon is supposed to be balanced, meaning no weapon should be greater than the other (except maybe minigun). Each person has their own preferences. How would you know which gun they like the best and which gun they like the least? Soldat doesn't read minds...

I know this is old, but...

I'd love a GunGame script for Soldat! I don't understand why you make it a problem about weapons... It doesn't HAVE to be that the next level is a "better" weapon. Just that you go through all weps and stop at knife(or chainsaw).

If I had this script, I'd start a server with it.

A pokémon script where you catch pokémon bots by throwing pokéballs (knives) at them and then level them whilst fighting other players! Teammatch should work nicely

Have weapon packs that go with each other and all you can use is that...

For example...

Saw + Deagle
Saw + Law
Snipe n Slice setting...
Knife only...
Spas....

Then all you do is type
!1, !2....
And that starts a vote, if enough people !1, then the weapon selection changes to what ever....

That'd be a mad server...

There is already a server like that. It's called !Elite VoteMode or (WM)!elite votemode.

"Marathon" - there are several checkpoints on a map, and there is a flag. Red team gets the flag and needs to bring it through a minimum # of checkpoints to the end of the map. Blue team needs to prevent them from doing that.
Flagger probably wont be able to reach the last checkpoint (enemy flag), but his team will get score after each run. And the more checkpoints the flagger has passed through - the bigger score his team will get even if he doesn't reach the last one.
There could be several different checkpointed routes where flagger could go, some with more checkpoints for more points, some with less checkpoints but faster and easier.

You could probably script that. WIth dummy bots being nodes, with extra health. I guess that would be like VIP!

Oh. Have a VIP game, each team has one VIP with a bit extra health. But it's constantly losing health. And there's one Medikit  SPawn place on the map! In order to win, you have to secure that place. That'd be a mixture of vip and king of the hill......

I'm surprised why "Spawn/Control Points" type of gamemode still hasn't been scripted. Pretty much any modern shooter has some sort of variation of that.

First one has been done, it's called Tactical Trench Wars.

2nd and 3rd one are VERY good ideas, also. I was thinking of a T-Cell type mode, like this, but I think this is way better. It has already been done somewhat, but not as advanced, it's called Protect the President, by NeoType. Not very popular.

There would be even more depth in it If you could make the single medikit spawn place change location every few minutes.

Soldat doesn't even need to be updated to get awesome scripts

Isn't it the scriptcore that enables these sorts of things?

Huh, you know, I always wanted foot ball as a minigame mod.

The knife is the football, and you can either throw it to a certain player, or stab to pass to the runners. The fist can give a one hit kill except for the wide receivers (maybe two or three) because of interception theme. For wide receivers, you can simply just get hit by the knife, but if other player is in the same spot with you, you gotta kill/knock him out with 1~2 punches before the defense intercepts.

This is a brief information, if you guys are interested in this, I'll give you more details, because I never tried, and will probably fail in scrips.



Another one would be like CS, fy_ice, where each players pick up a weapon from the ground and just simply shoot and survive. The map will have many floors, since it's 2D.

Football: This American football we are talking about, here? xD Umm... it's kinda scriptable, but you can't do "stab to pass to runner" afaik. And I don't know what else you can do. WELL, I GUESS you can make it more like real football, where, instead of stabbing, you just throw it in back of you, where the runner would be.

I've never heard of 2D football. *googles* This is intresting.


To your other idea. Yeah, like a building with weapons randomly laying around. I was thinking of this earlier this morning. Here is what I'm thinking now:

Have a big building, maybe 20 or more floors. I really want it big. I want it to be more of a DRAMA game mode instead of an ACTION game mode where bullets are flying all over the place. Players and guns are scattered randomly across the building. Some guns are more powerful than others but are less prevalent, eg. the flame throwing nade launcher thingy with toxic side effects, there will only be one of, whereas a simple soccom will be everywhere.

l I want it to be that you are just exploring the building looking for good weapons and BOOM you see your enemy. You enemy might have picked up a few good weapons and you are only on your starter weapon. You can either A.) Run Away and hope he doesn't run after you and catch you or B.) Try and kill him with just your starter weapon.

Realistic and survival: ON

OR

Realistic and DM: ON

OR

Both? Realistic, Survival, and DM: ON

OR

Realistic, CTF: ON

Which one ya like better?

Your weapon only lasts so long and then it spawns randomly again!

I think I would like a DM or CTF better. Either way it would appear CTF in the server list to attract attention. In survival or DM, there would just be no flags.

CTF is interesting, it would be more "BASEY", if you know what I mean, and not how a DM map would be. With a DM map I would like an enclosed, but spacey building with darkness all outside of the building, like how Nuubia is, but with a more dark background. Also dark vents (like the vent in that CS map, where there is a health poly inside), where no one will actually be able to see if anyone is in there, there would be multiple openings, so you can actually go into a vent and drop down on your enemy like in a splinter snake game or something! Wouldn't that be sweet? Actually, that's how I think CTF and DM should be. BUT:

With a CTF, going down and UP would be stupid and give an unfair advantage. So I was thinking 2 buildings, or BASES, but with different routes. Since there would be so much routes, when a flag is captured everyone would rush to their flag and try and figure out which route the flagger took, it would be hectic, yet dramatic. I think a tiny bit more speed should be given to the people trying to get their flag back, but that would be buggy I think, in the current scriptcore. They would just have to try and catch up with the flagger or take the other base's flag. Imagine how cool it would be if bother teams had flags? The flagger would just be scared to death, knowing someone can just pop in through a vent or something!

HEY! That gave me an idea! How about a random event when the person on each team who has the most points gets the other teams flag and teams have to get the flagger!?!?!?

Well, there are many interesting ideas for this particular mode I have in mind and I just had to type this up for future reference!

How do you like that idea? Any suggestions?
