Should be fixed so the flag no longer returns itself when a player goes out/gets knocked out of bounds. Instead, the flag should either just fall, or bounce off like it hit a wall when that point is reached. Of course, if the flag ITSELF falls out of bounds, it should obviously return itself. But when a player is holding it, it's pretty retarded.Reason for posting. Just played a big match for the soldat world cup. It was on voland. We held the lead, but in the last 10 seconds as I was holding the flag, a guy came from low and rushed into me. I ran roof to mitigate his rush and spray down. I naded him and killed him while i myself was in perfect condition, but i was boosted ever so slightly off the slim edge of voland, returning the flag and allowing them to cap with 5 seconds left to tie it.Was a good close game, but that was a REALLY crappy way to lose when we earned it, and in any situation the flag shouldnt be so easy to return itself on maps like voland in that kind of situation. To further explain what im suggesting, when a player falls out of bounds at the edge of the map, the player will respawn, and the flag will shoot out with a little momentum so that the flag stays IN bounds. If the player fell onto a the bottom boundary though, the flag would shoot up a little bit, then fall back down to return itself. In the situation i was in, id have gone off the edge, and the flag would have bounced off the side of the boundary and float back into our base. If someone boosted top on the roof of voland and hit the boundary, itd just fall back down (hopefully) onto a polygon.
LOL, you're so..... the map shall be played as the map is, not how you want it to be played. why don't you whine some on blade and icebeam while you're on it.
btw, what happened to you, is what weak players deserve.

Americans.... it has a lot to do with the post, because you don't know how to hold the flag, and you probably ate a nade to get boosted off the map. you just start to whine about that the game should be changed to favour you.(btw, checked your channel... you're grishank? lol, please don't brag with the skills you got, lmao)
Been there and I support this feature. It's not always players' fault that some maps have teleport borders too close. inf_Rise is a great example.Quote from: -Major- on July 18, 2009, 03:37:44 pmAmericans.... it has a lot to do with the post, because you don't know how to hold the flag, and you probably ate a nade to get boosted off the map. you just start to whine about that the game should be changed to favour you.(btw, checked your channel... you're grishank? lol, please don't brag with the skills you got, lmao)Got something against americans? Shame.Also. Try to assume just for a split second that what he is saying is not a whine. This happened to me a few times, and I've seen others lose the flag that way too. I doubt that fixing this will hurt Soldat in any way.
no, this is only whine. I just played him, and all he did was whining on his teammates. this is 100% whine topic.
