I wonder what would happen if the community stops playing, we are what we make this game is. We have our rights too.
not possible. would probably not change a thing anyway.
It actually would. Look at Left 4 Dead boycott. It had some impact.

I don't know about you but my demos work fine. use sum (Soldat ultra manager) for running demos and never had any problems..

But of course devs must make a new list.
bug fixes must be priority #1!
also get rid of  battle eye..doesn't do anything.
And if devs aren't too lazy so they would add some new stuff (Without bugs)

You have then magic Soldat version, if is demo working ot not doesn`t depend on demo player anyway.
Get rid of BattlEye? You can thx to god that Soldat has anti-cheat for free. If it has some probs now I am sure it will be fixed.
Removing BE can only speed up Soldat`s doom.

If Battle Eye cant do anything right..than it should be removed...anyway ofcourse its a good thing that its free but free means low service quality(poor ..what ever). Nya~!
And i hate Anti-Hackers like you. ^__^

im not saying that battle eye is bad...but at this time its useless and i dont have a magic soldat :D.

You think that is better open Soldat for hackers at all? If you have some problems with BE that is "low service quality" you can pay some money to improve it to Sable. You can`t imagine how much can be Soldat ruined without anti-cheat.

Some people asked me how do i run the demo's..
So I've decided to make a video record out of it all(Used HyperCam2 that has s**tty quality)
so bad quality but weight 34 MB lol.
anyway here is the link:  WATCH IT IN HD OR YOU WONT SEE A s**t!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9scSn9sWW-I

First demo is recorded last week on the "Official" ^^" ttw gather screenshot for a signature.
As you saw first demo stopped by a redirecting error also second demo had an error in the middle of it(pressed enter and it gone away lol )
Also Ive noticed that if you freeze the files and errors they wont come for a long time.
Basically every 4Th -5Th demo i get an error that just go away by pressing enter(with freezing every 20Th demo)

Nya! Help me! Explain how to reupload this in HD T__T
Also it would be cool if someone explain to me how to make uploaded videos to contain View In Hd option..

Also! It will help me if anyone will explain to me how to upload videos so they would be viewed in hd.
And you have noticed that it lags a bit..Well i tested after and all demos that were recorded under the ping 50-60 are lag free(at least for me) .
So guess all the laggers wont do demos for now lol.

Nya~!

BattlEye is excellent at stopping hackers... when it's regularly updated. As noted in a recent topic, as of today it hasn't been updated in over three months! I'm not exactly sure what Sable is doing, and I won't blame him if he's decided to move to a project that actually produces some money for him, but the hacking problem will undoubtedly get worse the longer he neglects updating BE, as we've seen occur already.

Just wait for soldatOpen.

openSoldat.

openSoldat has some great promise. A good deal of people are spending a lot of time working on it. Previous such endeavors have failed, but I think, given that the developers don't lose interest anytime soon, we'll see some excellent things coming out of it.

Well, one thing's for sure - it won't be any worse than 1.3.

I wouldn't expect much of it any time soon (at least for a year or two), but hopefully it will finally grow up into a great open-source bugless alternative of Soldat.

Have you people seen the new scriptcore stuff? Well worth the wait if you ask me.

Plus it's somewhat of a hassle to release a new version (all servers have to switch to it, etc).

Only scripters care about the new script core.

It is up to the server hosters to handle the new servers. It can only HELP them if they can do the work quickly. That is, putting some effort will be paid back later on as reliable and active server host.

As it has already been pointed out, 1.5.1 will not be only a bug fix release, instead it will introduce new features.

I've been bugging about this very topic for at least 3 years now. Especially with the 1.5 release. 1.4.2 was plagued with easily fixable bugs, like nuubia's bouncy polies. The maps were all fixed in less than 48h after the inital 1.4.2 release, and MM posted a post to the beta forum stating that he will be releasing 1.4.3 soon after 1.4.2's problems were known. However, EnEsCe took the lead and decided not to release a new version which would have fixed the bugs.

Now, that said, EnEsCe is doing the same again. Ignoring the bugfixes and focusing on new features, despite the pressure from the community to release a bug fix version. He has had plenty of time to learn from his past mistakes, yet he has failed at it completely. Twice.

As jrgp pointed out, people shouldn't expect NSC/MM to give rats ass about the community. It has been said by MM that he has no interest towards us, and NSC acts the very same way.

It's a pity, but my best bet would be that nothing is going to change. 1.5.1 -> 1.6, 2011.

"Only scripters care about the new script core."
This is NOT true. I am stuck with a low end machine for my servers the last years because whenever I have tried better ones my servers crash like crazy. Fixing the script core is MUCH MORE important than you think.

Might be. I for one have no interest towards anything which includes extensive scripting so I don't really know.
