Finally decided to officially release 1.4 version of the mod we've been working on for some time. It may be already known to some people, because it has been hosted on one of the servers as a beta for some time.
Special thanks to Falcon and TheOne who worked on this version as well.

    * Added hardcore spawn mode
    * Fixed a lot of intern bugs, causing server shutdowns
    * Fixed !fixsg giving an additional SG
    * Fixed Weaponforce at start, f.e. for mechanic
    * Added Spawnbug (selfkill in poly) Protection
    * Fixed Sharpshooter being able to reload the Flak
    * Added AFK-Protection for human zombie bosses
    * Added joining teams in Survival mode
    * Fixed dead player’s indicator spawning at (0, 0)
    * Fixed access violations on /list sometimes
    * Modified Versus works in “hardcore mode” now
    * Modifed bosses, their skills, balance, interfaces, fixed bugs

hey,

we are currently hosting two Last Stand servers.. I fear they broke though with the new version and aren't played anymore.
Find them filtering by Infiltration mode. We hope to have them back alive when the (weapon-script related) soldat bugs are fixed

I first played this in 1.7.0 lol. It is really fun but if the creators are still around here, a question for you: Is it possible to add some kind of UI to this? That would be really helpful. I am just not sure though if it is technically possible.

We're still around. The closest thing to UI we can get in Soldat is a bunch of texts displayed on screen. So no, it's not exactly possible so far.

Hmm is there something planned in this regard? I think more modding options could benefit not only Last Stand but mods in general. Like the 4k graphics and mod.ini, which made the Soldat gosteks and weapons modding options really better.

Anyways, great mod and really fun to play :)

There's not much you can do in terms of UI. It could display some text on a screen, but nothing clickable. After all, you have only one mouse which you need to aim and shoot so not much left for clicking on stuff.
Though if you have default taunt set, you can use Alt+1-4 to perform commands. If you don't have default taunt set it probably means you know how to edit it, so you can add /cc1-4 to some keys.

Making mods downloadable off a server the same way as custom maps has been often requested and I'm pretty sure it's on the devs' to-do list. It's not an easy thing to implement though. It'll get there eventually though.

Well there are many options. For example at a start of a game, you could show nice pictures or symbols in a nice UI that show the classes and you could choose the one you want to play. This could be clickable because game just started and you could show a quick overview over the class (like the one for the Barrett when you hold your mouse over it in the weapons menu). You could also make some kind of a help archive you could click through for beginners, it should be usable for specators so when new people join they can use it.

While in a game you could implement a system like the Crysis 1 nanosuit menu: Hold a button, quickly move the mouse in one direction and release it, the direction you chose stands for the ability. This works extremely fast.

You could also keep the current system and implement an ability menu similar to gorge building menu in Natural Selection 2: While holding Alt symbols show up with numbers you have to press that show the ability.

Sure those things and UI in general is not important for anything, but it could help new players and it would look much nicer.

I understand that it is not possible at the moment, however it would still be cool if implemented.
