The COMPLETE XM8 Weapons Modification
The only weapons mod for Soldat that includes all XM8 variants and more! Whatever it is, from submachine guns to grenade launchers, this mod has an XM8 variant or attachment!
Just take a look:



CURRENT README:
Mod by UltimateCole

The XM8 Mod is an almost-full replacement mod for the Freeware game Soldat.
Details:
This mod replaces almost all weapons (excluding the knife, chainsaw, flamer, and rambo bow) with XM8 variants or relatives. The weapons layout and changes are as follows:
USSOCOM --> M8SA1 Pistol*** (Damage much higher, ROF slightly higher, ammo capacity slightly lower, muzzle velocity higher, accuracy slightly lower)

Desert Eagles --> XM8 Burst Fire Mode (Damage slightly higher, ROF higher, ammo capacity higher, reload time higher, speed much higher, accuracy lower)

HK MP5 --> XM8 Compact** (ROF slightly higher, reload time slightly higher, muzzle velocity much higher, accuracy slightly lower)

Ak-74 --> XM8 UCEV*** (Damage higher, ROF slightly higher, ammo capacity slightly higher, reload time lower, startup time higher, accuracy lower)

Steyr AUG --> XM8 Carbine (Damage much higher, ROF slightly higher, ammo capacity higher, reload time higher, muzzle velocity higher, accuracy lower)

Spas-12 --> XM8 w/ Masterkey (Damage much higher, ammo capacity much lower)

Ruger 77 --> XM25 (Damage much higher, ROF slightly higher, ammo capacity higher, reload time much higher, speed lower, accuracy lower)

M79 --> XM8 w/ XM320 (Damage much higher, ROF much lower, reload time much lower, speed much higher)

Barret M82A1 --> XM8 Sniper** (Damage much lower, ROF much higher, ammo capacity much higher, reload time much lower, speed lower)

FN Minimi --> XM8 LMG** (Damage much higher, ammo capacity much higher, reload time lower, muzzle velocity higher, accuracy much lower)

XM214 Minigun --> XM8L1 Quad Cannon*** (Damage higher, ROF slightly lower, ammo capacity much higher, reload time higher, muzzle velocity higher, startup time lower, accuracy lower)
Flamer (No Change)
Rambo Bow (No Change)
Flamed Arrows (No Change)
Combat Knife (No Change)
Chainsaw (No Change)
M72 LAW --> XB450*** (Reload time much lower, speed much higher, startup time higher)


Fictional Weapon Profiles:


M8SA1 (XM8) PISTOL
The M8SA1 Pistol is the newest gun in the M8 Series. Although officially designated the M8SA1, (M8 Side Arm 1), it was based off the XM8 Compact Carbine. It has remarkably high stopping power and a medium-sized 10-round clip, but also has extremely high recoil. Flashlight optional.


XM8L1 Quad Cannon
As time went on after the first M8 models rolled out, the XM214 mounted minigun became dated and old. Its successor, the XM8L1, although still in the late prototype stages, is showing promise. Using 7.62 x 5.11mm rounds, it is the first man-portable fixed-barrel gun capable of maintaining a ROF of 2500RPM, based loosely off of METALSTORM.


XB450 (Rocket Launcher)
The XB450 is an experimental unguided multi-use rocket launcher designed shortly after the XM8L1. Despite its high penetrating power and advanced rangefinder system, its unreliability and inaccuracy have caused much controversy over the usefulness of the weapon. It is not likely to ever become a rocket launcher used on the front lines.


XM8 UCEV
While the XM8 remains one of the best weapons available, it is still not perfect. The XM8 UCEV was created to counter most of the XM8's design flaws. Using a new 40-round clip and a highly advanced see-and-shoot targeting system, the UCEV is proven more effective than the original XM8, though ironicly it is slightly less accurate. It uses the same 5.56 x 45mm ammunition as the XM8.

CHANGES FROM BETA TO 1.0.0:
(Original Weapons on left, Revised Weapons on right. Note that there are two possible replacements for the minigun. That is mentioned later in the changelog.)

-All weapons except for XM8 BDV and AT-4 KCV have been remade with a new Desert Camouflage pattern.
-The option to install a readme has been included in the Installer.
-The option to install one of two guns as a XM214 replacement has been included in the Installer. The guns are as follows:
-Added a new weapon: The XM8L1 Quad Cannon! This monster of a gun blurs the line between hard-hitting chain-gun and lightweight, compact assault rifle. Try it out today!
-Added a new weapon: The XML9 Rail Gun! Inarguably the most powerful man-portable weapon available, it can kill anything in a single hit! Now available for use today!
-The XM25 and XM320 sound effects have been edited to fit the weapons.
-Added realistic weapons configuration file. You can now use the XM8 mod with the Realistic setting!
-Fixed the bug where the XM8 Compact Carbine would stay invisible after predator mode had stopped.
-Fixed the bug where the XM8 LMG would constantly aim higher than the cursor.

-Added a new weapon: The XM8 UCEV: This enhanced XM8 Carbine has more firepower and more ammo, but less accuracy. (Replaces XM8 BDV/Ak-74)
-Added a new weapon: The XB450 Rocket Launcher: This new projectile launcher can punch a hole in almost anything! (Replaces AT-4 KCV/M72 LAW)
-Added a new weapon: The XM8 Pistol: Watch out for recoil! This prototype weapon has higher penetrating power and ammo than a desert eagle! (Replaces Mk. 23 SOCOM/USSOCOM)
-Added a new weapon: The XM8 Burst Fire Carbine: An XM8 without full-auto capabilities, this gun is deadly accurate at medium range! (Replaces Desert Eagles)
-Fixed the in-game appearance (size) of most of the clips, including the Compact Carbine, the Carbine, and the Sniper Carbine.
-Removed the option to vouch against installing a readme.
-Removed the option to change minigun replacement. The XM8L1 is now the only XM214 replacement.

NOTE: All copyright issues have been fixed with v1.0.0. Case Closed

This Croatian, is why some modders get sort of angry....

To use the XM8 that you did (In a mod that you would be publishing) you first need to get permission from the person (people in this case) that made it.

The XM8 that you're using was originally made by -Skykaden- then modified by me.

In short, Ask next time don't rip, cuz u will only look bad in the end.

To be honest you people make me sad  :-[ honestly all you needed to do was ask.....

those are 2 of the guns that he used, BUT the weapon that he used the most was the one that -sky- made (if you actually looked at the pic you would have noticed that  :P )

Oh sorry dude. I didnt know it was urs. A friend of mine, (DIFFERENT friend), had said he made it and gave it to me to use in this mod. Sorry about that. I can completely re-do it myself, if you wish. Sorry guys.

On the other hand, the parts you modded, look pretty decent.
Try making a few weapon interfaces from scratch.
Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.

Hmmm... I'll try to redo it, but im not that good at full weapons.

Yea, i think ill completely re-make it with something else. Maybe desert camo?

On another note, what do you guys think I should do with the DEagles and XM214?

Well I took the D/L off the web temporarily so I could re-make the mod, as to avoid more confrontations. It should be back up within the next week. (9/12 at the most.)

1. Show unzoomed version as well.
2. Add more darker colors.
3. Now it's nice and yours, so there is no need of the 1st old picture with "their" work.

Also save the file as a .Png then upload it again that will get rid of the "fuzzy" look.

No, it's pointless to change lime green backround color of the weapon because that's what makes it transparent.
I ment the color of the weapon, I've got dark monitor and still the brightness hurts my eyes.

No...that would be this one:

...And I even (more or less) fixed some of the random white and red(WTF?) spots.
Not bad...but the mag is too big.
Oh yeah. Now that I look at it, the mag does appear large. Thanks. Maybe I'll fix it and include it in the next version.

I still thinking it's resized, the handle looks like, the dark random colours arround the weapons also make me feel that it is

There's no need to get anal over stuff being resized or not.

NEW UPDATE (11/16/09): Sorry for taking so long, but I have finally made replacements for the XM8 BDV, AT-4 KCV, and even the Mk. 23. As of now, it is version 1.0.5, as I do not feel that the 3 weapons alone are that big of a deal. The link and weapon info will be posted in the bottom of the first post.

P.S. As for what UCEV stands for, I do not wish to discuss it. Use your imaginations.  ;D If you have no idea what I am talking about, READ THE FIRST POST AGAIN.
