I've had 8 teeth pulled, one time being the 4 wisdom at once. The week of not eating crunchy and good food is much more infuriating than not having nicotine for a month.

Haha, yeah, that's what I'm anticipating. Thankfully, there's a local diner nearby that serves absolutely fantastic soup, so I'll be spending my moneys there for a few days.

Lol, when I was depressed or utterly pissed, I got candy or chocolate instead.

I learned that during the first day after my surgery, I can only eat cold, creamy foods like yogurt, pudding, and ... that's about it. Sounds like a peasants' feast.

Anyway, since I've whined and bitched, there really is no more use for this thread, so we can let it die if you so wish. At 1PM today, I will have been smoke-free for 1 week. I was really surprised at how much my breath has lengthened. I knew smoking caused shortness of breath, but not that significantly.

I've been down a similar road. Before I could have my braces put on, I had to have two molars and 7 baby teeth pulled.I didn't have withdrawal,but the experience sucked all the same. My sympathies.

Having to adjust to a life without cigarettes. Of course, once you've adjusted, those cons pretty much disappear.

And for the record, a dentist'll tell you (right 'after' pulling your fucking teeth out, usually) to stop smoking for a week because...the newly exposed gums can be at risk of infection, and your gums heavily require your thick juicy blood to do its healing magic on those holes in your mouth and to congeal up and what not. Smoking thins your blood, particularly in the exposed gums, risking infection.
