Native - Prophesy of Pendor (modification)

Fun game, and although it lacks content, the open-plane battles and epic sieges make up for it.

well, ive played this game since version 0.751- way back. Overl0rd intro'ed me that.

Yeah its awesome, but after awhile it gets repetitive in terms of, mount, charge, chop/pierce/shoot, repeat. However there are more things which improves gameplay, like variations of attack animations and stuff like that.

But the most fun part is when you do a little 'cheating' XD - you edit your character export file- for example, amount of money, str, int etc etc....

try taking a chance at this- Using a melee weapon, kill as many horsemen as you can while standing still(that means no mounts)- either by means of killing their horses and finishing them off on ground, or doing a dodge and counter-attack on the horseman.

wowzas, that mod looks very impressive.. always a fan of improved landscapes. The various battle-scapes of Native get to be repetitive after a while.

once again, a little more content, and the game could be fantastic. They've got the foundation down plus some. Like, if you could choose where to place the ladders in sieges, or have battering rams. I understand siege engines (catapults and the like) would be very tedious to implement well, so I've tossed that recommendation out the window.

The world still feels a little robotic. They've done a good job making cities more active and interesting. Hmm, making edit-mode part of the game somehow, like placing town/village upgrades would be nice, but is still a very touchy idea... how would you make the city naturally flow together like they do now? without the clunkiness of old RTS's

or how would you make "Walk around the Village" more interactive when the game is based on "kill and conquer" ... You couldn't Mount & Blade towards the Oblivion route because then it's too open ended.

Eh, my "ideal M&B" is too unorganized to properly type out.

agreed on everything you've said.

Robotic-feel like towns just isn't fun to run around in. It has to be a little like Fallout3 , random people doing random things i.e talking to each other, fist- fights or maybe ACTUALLY shopping buying wares from the shops instead of just standing there.

Also, using the same walking animation for the both of the sexes just feels creepy.

This is probably why the MOST time spent in a town is less than five minutes-either to buy armor/weapons/supplies or undertake certain tasks.

I know im ranting alot of but hey, I have a high expectation whenever it comes to realism
