Rifles from the Second World War
« on: September 26, 2009, 01:09:58 pm »
Hi everyone, here you have a new mod that I just finished.
Its not like the all the WW2 mods, maybe in some facts yes but I tryed to make most of weapons semiautomatic. Clearly I cannot make it but I just made a .ini that fits very well.

I would like to see it on some server, but its hard so for now I invite you all to try it and tell me what you think.

Modified files:
 - Interface/guns -
 - Weapon-gfx -
 - SFX -
 - Weapon names -

As some people wont like the links, could someone upload in other mirrors?

Enjoy ;)

I'm happy with the stock, and about the sword dunno I just putted it I haven't thought of anything more (well bayonet but meh...)
Please test it ingame, I don't want you to tell me about the graphics i'm happy with them and I might not change them.

BTW UnknownSniper... please could you give constructive criticism, because thats not helping me so much, if you are not planning to do it like that please don't post there once again

Over all rating is 8/10.

the biggest problem is the PPSH-41....to put it bluntly....it doesn't look like a PPSH-41, i suggest looking at some pics.

The problem of the PPSh is that I made a version of that weapon for a kind of futuristic mod and I putted it there (cause of lazyness :P) I'll see if I can do something

Japanese used katanas on occasion but that's more like a huge knife than a sword.

making weapons semi auto, is quite easy.Put a long fire interval time- somewhere around 30~60ticks so it would limit the user to shoot carefully. Another alternative is to give the weapon massive recoil, so as to force the user to bead the target before firing. OR Add a high value for self-bink, this means having a higher negative value- Weapon gets more inaccurate after each full auto shot. If neither works, try combining all of them :D

Oh yes and your STV-40's named wrongly, it should be SVT.

Good luck.

Yeah I still have to do that of adding bink.
For now I think it's quite funny the gameplay, but has somebody tryed it, because scout what you are telling me to do is what I already have.

Espadon you catched me... its a long knife

Japanese did. They still used katanas along with firearms.

Japanese used katanas on occasion but that's more like a huge knife than a sword.

You don't know s**t about what you're talking about. Katanas more like a huge knife? What are you? A 3 year old?

As for the mod, I'll download it and tell ya what I think in a few minutes.

OK tred it. All I can say about the mod is that the weapon's range resulted in a facepalm. What is the trench gun? A water pistol?

Well i had to do it like that, It kills one shot maybe yes its too few range but I cannot make dispersion of the pellets so I put low range.
And Espadon was talking about my katana yes it looks like a big knife because of something... and IMO it doesen't looks at all like a katana so i named it Sword

The Japanese?
Anyways, I tried it and must say that as for a limited type weaponry arsenal, this mod rocks all out.

You don't know s**t about what you're talking about

You're right, it's easy to forget the difference between a single edged sword and a knife is really just the blade length.

What is the trench gun? A water pistol?

WHile I have no idea what your first statement means, I know whats the trench gun. Maybe you should have at least downloaded the mod and tried it before assuming you know what im talking about.

I like to see all the Russian rifles you included :)
Mostly a very nice mod. Some muzzle flash bugs and bad sounds (the Type 38...)
But mostly very good made.
