Hi I made this tread because to me I think songs can boost your gameplay and I don't know what song is best so in this tread freely say your favorite or best song you play while playing soldat. Please.=p

I don't usually play songs since I have this nasty habit of clicking on the mouse along with the song. But maybe intense songs like metal could boost your gameplay...or maybe not I donno.

If I could, I'd play some of the latest trance and house hits. I also like rob zombie and similar genre music (which I find would go well with gameplay). But, alas, something to do with the version of windows I have... I can't get Soldat to play any music I have. It even has trouble playing the 3 default tunes. I'd say that's the only frustration I really have with Soldat, otherwise the few bugs the game has don't bother me.

Tried to convert Left 4 Dead Ambient Music for soldat, nao i did it.

Nothing. When I play Soldat I prefer to do it in complete silence. That means computer speakers turned way off, and definitely all of Soldat's sounds disabled.

I don't typically listen to music while playing. But if I do, usually something metal.

Roadrunner United - Blood and Flames.

My playlist is an absurdly long conglomerate of basically any suitable MP3 I've acquired over the years and periodically randomized, but that's the one coming to mind right now. Something about its pace works really well.

Ha. That made me think of Mad World. I bet I could play Soldat to Mad World... but then I'd be distracted of images from Donnie Darko.

No fixed preference of music. I notice what I'd enjoy most is like the in-between of something heavy and something light, or maybe it's just rock.

I just simply listen to technos, such as: On the Floor, Brain Cracking, Green Stuff, Calabria (Furax's version), and Breakneck Bombing Run by V.A.

If you're referring to RADIO and the new sounds that I think 1.5 introduced, I haven't even heard them since I've been rockin' with disabled sound since 1.3.1

LOL no sound wow you really like silence jrgp. Btw STM1993 the music you posted is a great example of great music for this game. Anyone else play rock and light, or any other song that you think goes well with the game.

WOW, Breaking Benjamin are some great players. They are definitely gifted for music. LOL I got 15 songs already if you want them you can download them in the description of this video in youtube.

Sunn O))), no specific songs just anything by them. You can't go wrong with Drone music and Soldat.

Not just for the game though, I do like to listen to them outside of games. Any song that I actually like (whether gaming or not or whatever) will do, but I find those tend to take a slightly stronger effect.

I tend to listen to whatever band I'm into.

CROW'S CLAW - Solitude Of Descendant - Crow's Claw got loads of great music, and covers from final fantasy, anime and touhou. all of their music is only intrumental tho.

DnB, Metal (Children of Bodom is my fav and best for soldat) or other fast paced music like trance.

Music has a big impact on my play and it has the potential to rise my will very high, making me an unstoppable destroyer with incredible reflexes that tune in with the fast beat of the music. Sometimes I even amaze myself how fast and agile I can be.

On the other hand, an unfitting or simply bad song can knock me off into an unfocused crap and I wont be able to hit a truck with a barret point blank even if neither of us were moving. Music can be either a powerful boosted or a horrible distractor and has the ability to set the mood.
I choose my songs carefully and play them in a tight looping playlist and switch to something else that feels good for the moment.

I also occasionally play without music, but ingame sounds are something that must be in always no matter what. No sounds = ruined atmoshpere.

I listen mostly to what I listen while not playing Soldat, so quite often I do listen to something slow and relaxing (which is often a bad thing because I start daydreaming and loosing focus :S).

Though for special occasions (when I really am in a mood to pwn hard), I tend to listen to something fast and aggressive, with nice beats, not too hard and with no lyrics to be less distracting. Like some tracks from these soundtracks:

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (example)
Unreal Tournament series, especially UT3 (example)
Half-Life 2 (example)

And sometimes something fun, just for lulz.
