over the past year or so ive become a big fan of michael andrews work. especially a little piece called goldfish

hes the guy that composed the soundtrack for donnie darko and covered the tears for fears song mad world

i am looking forward to his second solo album

I thought there movie had good laughs. but as a actual official musical group, they don't appeal to me.

Modest mouse and the Gorillaz are great.

Modest mouse got like #6 on album of the decade for "Good News For People Who Love Bad News". at least it was in the newspaper :P

tribute is a really great classic song and for some reason most people dont seem to understand the whole joke (we played the first thing that came to our heads just so happened to be the best song in the world) (couldnt remember the greatest song in the world). all their other stuff sucks though

Some stuff I tend to listen to:
Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Jimi Hendrix, Zeppelin, Metallica, Airbourne, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Anthrax, GNR, The Who. Select  moments in time for a lot of them.
There are others that I haven't bothered to get music for yet like Slayer and Motorhead and will eventually.

Nifflas - ambient, 8-bit and similar game music
Stendeck - IDM
Helios - ambient
Cybo - something electronic-like
Vir Unis - space/industrial ambient

I'm sure 99% of you haven't even heard of them. <_<


A few actual bands:
Angels & Airwaves - alternative, pop-rock
Mute Math - something rockish/popish
Immanu El - soft rock, post-rock
God is an Astronaut - instrumental metal, post-rock
---
also, what's with all the aggressive rock/metal/punk stuff?
listen to something different for a change ;D

my opinion as well. just thought about em as I was writing up the post. well, i must say a few of their songs are catchy. would that count as liking the band? eh [shrug]
