Use the attached program called soldat skin color changer. Select the color of your skin, set it to invisible, and it will be that color. In earlier versions you could actually have invisible skin till it was fixed. Now it needs to be set to invisible or your skin won't change color. It can also be used to change the color of the rest of your body, such as hair pants and chest. You need to select where your profile is, if your are registered go into profiles and pick the one you use, if not pick default.

Go to your_profile.ini and change skin_color to 0.

Is it possible to change skin color to grey though?
I tried it before with SSCC and by manually editing soldat.ini, but it kept resetting to brownish. :/

Also, what values stand for what in color code? There are 7 numbers, and I have no idea which format color is written in. :S

The colour codes are Delphi's "TColor" format. Which is just $AABBGGRR, each letter combo being a HEX value of 00->FF (1->255). You can either use the above $ format, built in colour strings such as clRed, clBlack etc, or an integer representation of the $ code, but that's silly.

As you should notice $FFFFFF isn't white because gostek gfx is pink a bit. Pink = more red than blue and green, so to make grey you need to decrease red amount.

while on this topic, would you mind making the morda.bmp white with diffrent gray scales instead of having it brown? since having it brown makes it impossible to set certain colours.

Also, why did you remove the invisible skin? That was awesome. Or was it you that did it?

In that case I guess it'd be easier to just use skin changer. D:
Thanks a lot for the info though. I wouldn't have figured that out myself.

Yeah, I figured that out after some trial and error. :S That solution kinda works, but then if you set the color to something too bright - you won't have enough blue/green to cancel out redness.

Also, why did you remove the invisible skin? That was awesome. Or was it you that did it?
I think that was even before NSC started working on Soldat. Now sure why it was removed - maybe because some saw it as a bit of an advantage or cheating, maybe because it just looked weird. Or probably both.

I second that. I even attached an archive with edited graphics. :P

you could make your pants invisible, which gave quite a big advantage.

No, not in 1.3.1, not normally anyway. I tired the hex code on body and pants with no success. It just comes up a green color.

Yeah, as far as I remember it was only ever the head that could be made transparent.

Make everything in the GFX folder into green pixels (R: 0, B: 0, G: 255).

Congrats you are invisible. And everyone else

I've found (in messing with Polyworks) that brown textures can be made grey by using certain blue-grey colors. It takes a lot of fine-tuning, though.

Yeah, that's because blue cancels out red. But if you use light-blue, for example - there will be too much white and not enough blue to cancel out red. Here's the skin color that I currently use:
