Worms Reloaded
« on: November 05, 2010, 06:39:49 am »
Finally Team17 figured out that worms in 3d is piece of crap.

IMO Worms Reloaded is a piece of art. All those graphics and improved gameplay - OH It's sweet.

Have you played it? What do you think?

Armageddon is superiour in almost every way, but I play Reloaded for easier compatibility. (Plus I haven't gotten around to buying Armageddon for PC - I played the shit out of it for PSX, though!)

Is Reloaded any easier at all? I remember the original 2D Worms series were ridiculously hard (for me at least). :(

I don't know if it's easier or not because I haven't played it so much.

Please explain how is Armaggedon better than Reloaded?

Armageddon haves everything more, but graphics. Reloaded should had to be armageddon+more. But it's armageddon-a lot. Positive to reloaded for good graphics and good map making tool.
Sorry if I'm insolent.

Armageddon > Reloaded because:
 - more teams/worms per match
 - constructive single player campaign(not just kill everything here, and here, and here too)
 - awesome simple and pretty graphics full of candy imo
 - chat was visible for everyone, in R you have to open some special chat window noone can find so the only reasonable way to communicate is using mics
 - awesome training and deathmatch single player stuff
Can't think of anything more but there surely is, I regret I've bought that game. TF2 hat doesn't recompense the disappointment.

You're somewhat right, but I can't stop liking the graphics of WR.

Also: IMO the most powerful weapon .

Armageddon was definitely better -- maybe the best one. But Reloaded is pretty good stuff; definitely the best they've made in a long time. That and W:A has issues running on... hell, I think it had its disagreements with XP, and good luck getting it to run at all on anything above that. So, might as well take Reloaded and like it. Still needed a lot of kinks worked out last time I played it, but it's still just as fun as it oughta be, and it generally just runs really well.

Please don't lump Worms 4 in with W3D, though. 4 made 3D feel like a beta, and I had a lot of fun with it.

In terms of general gameplay? Not really. But the single-player campaign is far, far easier, with a couple of irksome exceptions.
