How To be very accurate with the BARRETT

 My problem is i love the ret but i need to increase my accuracy
i have my moments where i barely miss but im not consistent
 i rem i was playing on No Lagz owning then i got on this one server and
i was getting my ass handed to me.

So im asking can someone tell me how to play great with the ret

Yeah, weapon balance discussion aint the right place but ah well.
The Barrett requires different tactics to the other weapons really, but if you're patient to get good at the barrett, it is a nice weapon to use.

The main one is, try and slow down a little before taking a shot.
The Barrett has high 'movement-acc' which puts your shots off target when moving fast, slowing down will help.

You can rack up a fair few kills if you are not quite in the centre of fighting, hang very slightly behind the pack and pick off specific individuals. It's also useful to be good with your secondary weapon too, since there'll be times you're caught with no ammo.
These days USSOCOM/knife seems the more popular option since the usso got a boost in the update.

Lastly, no-one likes a prolific camper. Camp at key moments to defend a flagger for example, but don't just sit in one place - advance with your team-mates and support them once in a while - it's not just a defensive weapon.

But serious, people don't get good accurate from nothing, people born with it, they train themselfs years in order to be accurate...
Or you can just go to some tw or snipe'n'slice server and train your aiming there...
You may also use the no cursor mod in order to become pro...

Never hold down any movement keys while fireing, if you're in mid air your barrett will become somewhat inaccurate (giving you like 66% chance to hit), and you should usually aim a bit above than usual.
Ideal is to stand on the ground while shooting, or being almost completely still in mid air (i.e, not having and speed up/sides or falling down).

It's mostly about knowing where to position yourself and know when an enemy should appear.
Position yourself closer to your opponent if you're going to be having some movement speed or you know you're gonna get a little binked.
Get used to the opponents wave, and take a position right before you 'know' an enemy will appear, so that you won't suffer from any movement acc.
Yet again position, once you're in a good spot, it might be better to wait for your teammates (camp) instead of moving in alone. - This is more of a general teamplay 'rule' for any gun.

I think it helps a bit, especially when you're using barret's scope. Sniper line makes it a bit easier to keep track of where your soldier is on the screen, so it becomes easier to determine the right angle of fire.

btw, does anyone have a problem with firing barrett? i mean quite often it just doesn't shoot when im holding lmb, happens mostly when i'm binked or standing on a bugged poly, but not only, sometimes it doesn't shoot in the most ordinary situations, while all the other players happen to shoot instantly without problems. I think i always had this problem, and had several mouses through the time

i wouldn't rely on the sniper line it's disabled on most servers anyway.
