Make sure you have the correct video drivers for your graphics card.
If you are using a laptop turn on high performance mode.
You can also try running soldat in xp compatible mode: Righck soldat.exe icon and choose xp compatability mode http://i.imgur.com/hvjK5.png

some Soldat settings in config.exe may cause FPS drop, but not that drastic i think... You may try messing around with them though

If the frame rate is that low then I'm guessing your GPU isn't being used. Open Config.exe and check under "Video Adapter:" that you have something sensible selected.

And make sure you have DirectX installed and up to date.

From what I heard from Leo - disabling death console helps. I also have high-end gaming rig and I'm having issues with soldat, though I cannot be bothered to try to make it work.

If people with good hardware and old hardware have problems with game its not they fault.

Don't get it wrong but if someone say that you need turn of something in such "simple" game(compared to games that modern PC could run without a sweat) its definitely don't see that problem isn't in hardware but in game.

I tried run Soldat on looots of PC lately and it like roulette. Every PC is updated, without bugs and with lastest Drivers, and still on pc that could run 3 crysis simultaneously soldat is lagging, and on nettop with crappy dual core Atom CPU with intel pseudo graphic accelerator its run better.

Do you want to complain or do you want to fix the problem?

Messing with soldat config has little effect, but you can use my guide if you want to optimize: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=43072.msg516263#msg516263
The issues with soldat in win 7 has been reported, and you can try to run it in compatible mode: http://bugs.soldat.pl/view.php?id=442#bugnotes  <-- This would probbably solve your problem Furai.

verbeia's problem sounds like something else though, so try the things people have suggested in this thread.

how can I fix it if im not dev?

I know that this hurt you, but Its not my fault that there is problem with soldat.

I didn't want to offend anyone, I just pointed out that its not a strictly hardware problem and lowering settings isn't a good solution.

The problem is that soldat is running on dx8.

Might be due to vsync or incorrect fps limit settings. I know Vsync gives me some mouse lag in most other games so I usually have to disable it.
