Question regarding invisible polys.
« on: June 16, 2006, 07:50:07 am »
I was planning to do some invisible polys for my upcoming climbing map. However, I encountered a problem.

Is there a possibility of making those "borders" of polygons invisible as well, along with rest of the polygons? Otherwise it looks rather ugly...

I'm using PolyWorks so if there is a solution, I'd like to know it for PolyWorks.

Thanks in advance.
Oh la la.

I think that's the edge for the texture you are using for the invisible polys...

Delete it?

Eh. Hahaha.. I didn't account that possibility. Didn't know that answer was that simple. However, can't help it too much since I've only played around with PolyWorks few days so far, hehe.

Thanks a lot!

To make an invisible polygon, highlight the polygon and go to Edit > Reverse Visibility

This bug only happens if you have texture smoothening turned on btw.

If it's turned off, texture edges won't show. However, if you make a map with a default texture and invisible polygons, rename the texture to texname2.bmp , and use that, so it won't have an edge.

Helpful hint: invisible polygons can randomly become visible, so don't make your map depend on them.
