It looks nice but it also looks bad. Its pretty good shading and I don't know about shading. ;D This gun is good enough to be 5 steps behind from FieldMarshall BM (Thats a good thing, i think...) 3/5

The shading is good. Looks cartoony, but I like it

Not too bad, the stock could be a tiny bit bigger and do some more shading/add more detailon that grey block in the middle, I like the wood part.

The shading is well done but the gun itself isn't that great.

I like the idea behind it all, but i have one gripe with it.  The shading on the cartridge doesn't fit.  it gives you the impression that the light is coming from the top-right rather than the top-left like everything else (eg the body).

I love cartoony though.

It looks pretty nice. (Note he said he was trying a shading technique...which means the look of the gun isn't veyr important! >.>)  So yeah....nice shading, work on that a bit more and it could make some guns look real nice.

Your guns have no texture! look at yours for a minute, then look at this one I made:

You'll notice that yours appears to be very flat, and made out of plastic, whereas the one shown above has an old metallic type feel. Expand your palette, and give your shading some graininess (a pixel out of place every now and then can achieve this effect).

Shading is nice. But the stock is weird. Plus it lack on details.

my suggestion is that, while making d shape you look at the picture of gun and decide which curves should be more remarkable, draw more details and put more blue contrast on gray parts, it's more realistic, like a real metal.

Want to know what that gun reminds me of?  Metal Slug.  That's not a bad thing, but you should probably go for a more realistic look.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Nice shading, though the stock looks a little bit weird. Typically, stocks have a gradual downward slope on them. You have a sudden drop, then it pops back up. I know the Thompson is different, but the stock should still slope downwards. Look at this page to see what I'm talking about.
Just tweak the stock around, keep the shading, and you've got a sexy gun.
