"Project Reckon" help Wanted

Project Reckon

In the not too distant future two forces battle it out in a post apocalyptic world, using the the deadliest arsenal of weapons the world has ever seen.

I have been working on this mod for quite awhile now and i fear, without help, it will never be done. And since i see great potential in this mod i don't want to scrap it, I want to see all the happy faces when it is released.

Open Positions
In game gfx manager
I need a person experienced in creating in game gfx, such as the bullets, shells, and in game weapons.

Sound Manager
This mod will require lots, and i mean lots of sounds. If anyone out their has a expansive library of weapon sounds and explosions, you will be a big help.
Level Design
I need a person experienced in mapping, and way pointing preferably. Some good maps would really complete this mod.

I will also need gosteks, and a good explosion.

I have most of the interface done and most of the weapons (ive got the config working also). The weapons.ini will be tackled later on.

I think I could do weapons-gfx, although they may be a bit... large. Mine usually are.

BTW, I love your original Minigun. That needs to replace the current one so much it's not even funny.

lol keron my guns always turn out large also =\. Wraithlike can i see some of your maps?

PS: im also quite fond of that minigun, i could improve my original chainsaw though, i suck at making chainsaws.

a little of both futuristic and post apoc. a creepy feel to it sorta. Cause it is a city where millions died when [watever caused the apoc] destroyed it xD.

Ultraman i like your maps also, you can help. Could you do a dark forest setting? CTF with 2 buildings (bases) on both sides of the map.

Coalition weaponry isn't bad.  I like the M715 ISMG and the minigun, but the rest don't really live up to those standards.

Axis weapons are mostly Unreal Tournament guns and look quit nice.  You could make a decent UT mod with some of those plus a little editing.

Your originals are just edits of Michal's Soldat Evolved weapons and some defaults.  The similarities in many of them are too strong to ignore.  I bet many of the colors are the same too.  Kind of a disappointment but the others look nice.

Keep at it, though.

Ok, Yamo, I'll try and get on that soon. Can I have some details about the map eg. How much jets, how big, weather/atmosphere. If you could sketch me a quick concept idea or layout, that would be awsome, something like this would be perfect:

yea ultra i was working on the layout last night, ill get it to you once im done, plus all the other info.

Anubis, thanks, ill find some images for you so you got an idea of what to create.

Papasurf yea the original do look a lot like the ones from soldat advanced, but i tried to make them look as different as i could (including colors). how many ways can you change the default weapons and still be able to recognize them as the originals. The set im not showing yet should have some more weapons similar to the coalition style.

Just a little remark: shouldn't the Coalition minigun be bigger related to the other guns? It's nice though, don't change the design of it.

The coalition wanted a minigun thats easily moved around the battlefield over firepower, thats why the coalition minigun is a little smaller than the others. Once i start makin the weapons stats this will be noticeable.

Xtisereb thx, i need all the sounds i can get, especially machine gun sound effects. Can you get as many as you can and put them all into a folder? host it on a site and pm me the link? or you can just send me the folder at yamogogy15@aim.com

Anubis map ideas would be good, ill pass them onto the mappers (pm me with the details). and im working on finding some nice models for the gosteks, ill pm them to you as soon as i find them.

gun sfx? go to www.findsounds.com and type in words like ''rifle,gun,machinegun,laser,beam ect.''

Btw, why on earth are you even thinking of such things like ''OHNIEZ MY MAWD GO DWON TEH TIOLET LOL!'' I mean if youre even bored in making it then release it or just give your motivation some time to get intrested in making the mod again. just a hint.

lol no im not bored of it or anything, i dont have the time to do it all by myself. school comes first, and once i do get enough time for the comp, ive gotta split that time with a very annoying bro =\. *sigh* schools t3h sux this year.

and ive tried that site b4r, i only get wierd sounds...not the type of sounds im wanting.

I use to develope/capture some sounds for a medieval set online game. I dont know about capturing near feature machine guns, but I could see what I could do as far as manipulation.

I really really cant stand cartoonish/scifi weapons 90% or more of the time but some of those you made look real good. Keep it up. Make a modern firearms mod to replace the original Soldat. Only 3 good ones have been made imo but im workin on a 4th.

im sorry but there has been some... problems in getting the last few parts of the mod together. Good news is i got a new comp for x-mas, bad news is the old one had everything for the mod on it. and it gets worse...when i tried to boot up the old comp to get the mod off of it...it died. So yea, everything was lost in the system restore. A mod of the scale i was planning now seems near impossible. i have no idea what i will do now besides get the guns off the previews and start over from scratch.

moral of the story: Put everything on a disc
