ctf_Morningrise

Made this map a month or 2 ago, thought I may as well release it here... I think it's at least mostly finished. 
It's my first map, other than a couple of things I made in a couple of minutes. 


I was focusing on layout rather than just aesthetics, and so here and there you may notice "unprofessional" poly placement and shading, and maybe the texture stretching isn't great in all areas, but I think it all does the job well enough.

I had this idea for a map for quite a while - I can't stand health ****s, especially when someone runs into a base and steals all their health, picks up the flag and gets away, ala Laos... 'tis annoying!

So I located the spawn points in a location with all of that sides health packs, where it's impractical to camp either from a defensive or offensive position. In a flag standoff I figured it would be pretty damn hard if the whole section was closed off, so I've just prevented the camping aspects, while allowing room to throw 'nades in and etc.

It does support bots... to some extent, but if anyone out there think they can do a better job, give it a try.

Updated map due to popular demand :P

Smaller and tighter upper paths, much less poly bugs throughout the map, changed flag area, all designed to allow for an increase in game speed.

The layout looks promising, and the visuals are gorgeous. Well done, I say.

Its pretty good, both in the visual and gameplay aspect. Although the only problems i found were being blown through some of the more thinner poly's.

Great map  :)

I really enjoy playing this one at Leo's (I'm a LRS addict, you know  ;) )

Layout is classic but executed perfectly, shading is top-notch, theme is nice, preventing spawn killing by using these metal balks is also a nice idea and the giant boulders are great eye-candy. IMHO: Corny idea , execution 100% perfect  :D

Hmm, I'm liking it a lot, it's a great map!

I wish you would've released it earlier, then it could've been voted into the custom maps tourney which SCTFL is hosting :\
