Do you have ingame weapons-gfx for those weapons? Looks awesome. Especially that chainsaw.

Some of them are really original but most of them are nearly the same

They look nearly the same because those are modifyed versions I guess.

Many of them look similar, because in fact they are the same weapons just with different attachments (laser sight fore grips etc...) and many of them use the same type of stock.

I REEEEALLLY liked some of those "more original ones", especially one you're using as your avatar right now. A really mean-looking thing.

You really gotta play with the colors though. You already perfected your skills of making the shapes look good, but your weapons really lack color variation and small details.
Imagine if all that was compiled into a mod. You'd have a lot of trouble trying to figure out what weapon your enemy is holding.

What colors would you recommend?

Pretty much any. A slight tint of any color on different parts of a gun, as well as some shading variation. Just be creative or google for pictures of different guns for reference.

Here are some examples I found:

That's a lot better. Even though it's the same gun, you can now clearly see the difference between them (though I still think they could use a liiittle more contrast).

Maybe you should try making an actual mod and try to get each gun to be as much different from others as possible.

Well, the laser pointers are optional, so you don't have to use them.

easiest way to do weapons-gfx? shrink em down, and maybe brighten em up abit. Just remember not shrink the weapons too small.

If you resize it like that - the shape would be unrecognizable.
They're only like 5x10 pixels big, maybe even smaller. It's not that hard to just make them from scratch, which is how I suggest you do it.

And give some attention to the alignment.
Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.

Not if you know what your actually doing than just blindly resizing it and leaving it as a black lump, e.g modifying/erasing/adding various pixels to better fit the ingame weapon image- thats exactly how i did the old GRAW mod, and it still looked great.

Nevermind if its lazy work. But it all boils down to this- it works and it hell does look good.

But then it's more than just "shrink em down and brighten them a bit". Like you said yourself - you still need to erase unnecessary pixels, tweak the shape and color, so you end up doing almost as much as if you were making weapons-gfx from scratch.
