Soldat map maker not working to well
« on: June 29, 2006, 04:16:05 pm »
Hey I recently downloaded the Soldat Map Maker and it works...Only once I get into the client it lags like heck!! like or example I'll have my mouse on...say...load map..But it wont highlight the load map button for another minute or so...WTF? Not even the soldat game lags that much  :'( So what do I do? Is it just because I have dial up?

It's not your internet connection, I am unsure as to what the lag is but I highly suggest you not use the default mapmaker. Use PolyWorks, the most amazing map maker ever. See this thread here: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=174.0

Go to Fan Apps and you will see the PolyWorks topic.

I moved this to fan apps because it has now become a polyworks help issue.  If it turns into a more mapping-related thing, I'll move it to Mapping Help

Press F9 and save.

either that, or go to file > compile, then select the map directory and save it.

That link works for me, it's just takes awhile (1 min) for some reason today. If you still can't access the thread, here is the download link - http://individual.utoronto.ca/caek/Soldat_PolyWorks.zip
