Soldat.exe does not extract.

I downloaded 1.4, both from a torrent and the U13 direct download link, and for both files, the setup cannot extract Soldat.exe. I'm not the only one to have this problem, and I hope this can be fixed ASAP.

I'm able to play, and I just sent SadistAtHeart my Soldat.exe to see if that would work ,and NOD32 says that it's a virus.

I've had no problems whatsoever though.

If you have an anti-virus such as NOD32, it will falsely detect soldat as being a virus, and possibly block it from being installed; you will need to temporarily disable such products or add it to an exclusion list.

NOD32 are aware of the issue, and in some future update will fix it.

I do use NOD32, but I disabled it and soldat.exe still would not extract from the installer.

I completely disabled NOD32, it changes nothing.

Are you using the windows built-in zip thing, or something like winzip/winrar/7zip?

the windows one often sucks, try a separate one.

I completely uninstalled Nod32 and reinstalled AVG free and I was able to install Soldat.

However, now I get an access violation whenever I kill a player online, and Soldat crashes instantly. Yay.

You mean during the installer?  or when you try to extract the zip file?  The zip file only has soldatsetup.exe in it.

For some reason, I'm the only one of the three of us (Nfs and Sadist) that has had no problems with 1.4

I have this problem too, if you remember I posted about the nod32 issue which you addressed, well I obviously went to measures to avoid that and this is the error I come up with using both the 1.3.1 patcher and 1.4 installer:

error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination directory
movefile failed; code 2
the system cannot find the specified file


I got the exe off someone else over msn in a zip file, and I cannot extract the file from that zip file for no good reason (I clicked unblock in the properties, using XP sp2)
Basically it seems the world doesn't want me to install 1.4. 



Also, that soldat.exe cannot be extracted using the windows zip extractor or winrar

As someone else mentioned, they were only able to install Soldat when they completely removed NOD32 from their system.

Using NOD32 you can fix it by opening up the control center, AMON, Setup, Exclusions tab and then add the Soldat folder to the exclusions list.

After i add Soldat to Exclusions still doesnt work.
Iam completly uninstal NOD but still doesnt work and i dont want reinstall windows.

As someone mentioned previously, simply turning it off wasn't enough; they ended up having to completely remove NOD32 in order to install.

-Open NOD-32 Control Center
-Click AMON
-Click Setup
-Click Exclusions Tab
-Add soldat directory (where you installed)
-Click ok.
-Re-install soldat 1.4 to same directory.

Run and have fun ^^

That doesn't works. Simply deactivate Amon.
