I don't like in realistic that when you are playing the opponent disappears half of the time in real life a person dose not disappear he is easily able to see the opponent or at least make him invisible when hes hiding behind something
Should this be changed?

In real life, we can move in 3 dimensions.

They only disappear when they are behind a polygon or not in your view range. Unless I am misunderstanding you?

Yes.

People 'disappear' in real life when you no longer see them.

Realistic player view is alright. Changin' that would be pathetic. It makes it more tactical and fun and seriously it's a part of "realism" (I mean for a 2D game gosh) so please, let it be.

Geez, Anti. You really need to think through your comments before posting them. It's the 2nd time I see you muted and I'm not surprised.
Anyway, back on topic. As most people already said, players disappear in soldat because even in real life you cant see people behind you or through objects, unless you're superman. Otherwise they're visible. And this is one of the key concepts of realistic mode.
One thing that I would like to see though, is a clear definition of which area you can see and which you cant. Kind of like in game called Nox:

wolf I agree with you. Fog of war is the best part of realism. Removing it would be a very poor idea. What's the point of realistic mode?

The line-of-sight enemy visibility is dodgy though. You can still see them through many walls at certain points. I would like to see it upgraded somewhat, but I won't get my hopes up about that.
