Simple base for soldat comic
« on: December 14, 2015, 09:35:46 am »
Long time ago in a galaxy far far away... I was deleting old soldat projects folders, that just annoy me a bit, but when I was checking if I can use any graphic that I made there for other project and games I found a... comic idea that I totally forget about.

Actually its not a comic, but some files that I made for future comic, and to be more precise, its just logo and comic-style ash map that I would use as a background for it.... I didnt made any characters or even scripts for it.... so sorry, its up to you what story you put here.

To be honest I cant even remember why the hell I get idea of comic if there is just no point at all to make such thing. Still its not that weird as 3 page machinima script for soldat that I found(and removed right away) but hey, as far as its not gonna take whole day to make, I'll do it for pure fun...

So overall, maybe someone else, someday, could use it... Just made some simple soldat gostek character, put them in map add some funny text and cut frames, aaaaand, you have comic.

Technically  its not anything complex: its rugged black sketch-style drawing with simple back colors, nothing fancy.
I didnt want to spend to much time on it, so I didnt play with any details or color textures.

I had other logo with "comic" in name but it was ugly as hell, so I upload only forums-style one that can be use as a tittle.

And small preview of Ash comic background if you too lazy to click one in attachment.

In Zip folder you can find every part of logo: gostek, flag, tittle etc. And of course Ash Map as a one file and front/back(if you eg want to put something behind map without too much editing)

Maybe later I upload other props, like boxes, explosions and text balloons in this comic style, but I have them in Clip Studio format so I dont have mood for exporting them now.

Man, made my day, why this second picture is NOT main pic of Soldat?
I mean it could be on cover photo
Is there anybody can write script?
Good, go and play soldat ^^

Really well made. I say that logo on the 2nd picture should be the new logo for Soldat Forums, and maybe even Soldat itself at some point.

Very nicely stylized ctf_Ash too, I'd love to see a whole map made in such style.

Not that good, very "Deviantart".
Logo isnt logo, its shaded sketch with horrible font.
Definitely not good for official media material.

What the hell is "very deviantart"? I didn't know that they copyright one of oldest type of colored sketch style...

And logo IS logo, but it's made for comic that would stick to the same style.

I have no idea why the hell anyone would even consider to make it forum logo.

Of course feel free to use it and modify it as you like, but for satan sake don't make me laugh calling something "deviantart"...  it's like calling any fighting anime "dragon ball'ish" or game about WW2 "CoD-like" -_-
