Hm. Looks a little..off ingame. Size is good, and I like how the rails look, but the details of the receiver, bolt carrier, and magazine need to be a bit more defined.

Yes i know, i didn't like this one either.

And the front grip is pretty thin. :(

Well i COULDN'T go on making them perfect all the time.
Good thing too...lesson learnt and so on...

It's the size of it. I couldn't find the best pixel amount for it.
So the placing of the various details, like the barrel(which should be thicker), and various other things was hard, and didn't prove to be good.

But if i would've made it any larger it is now, it wouldn't get any better.

PS: what part of it is the magazine? Is it like the Bulldozer(?) gun, with the tube-shaped magazine?

PSS: Svirin Kerath, i'm not a native speaker, so i don't know what the "reciever" and "bolt carrier" are...specify?

Yupyup! Good trying though, it's not terrible, just doesn't look enough like the original gun.

The shape of the weapon is hard to depict correctly at such a small scale.

Which one? The back or front grip?

If your talking about the front grip, then its the best it can get i think, since you can't rotate or turn any pixels.

Making it bigger would fix the problem, but the gun is big enough as it is and is already almost overlapping the Deagles.

And it's the black outlines, that give it this fat look(the front grip).

The firing hand grip I mean, the front grip is fine. Mostly on the outlined version.

Everything looks nice, your vector drawings are awesome and the guns look good.

But honestly.. this thread was started in June. You should really get started on putting it all together and stop focusing on peoples opinions, forum polls, and vector drawings otherwise it's just going to take forever to finish.

I usually find when I'm making a mod, if I spend more than about a month working on it then I get really fed up of it because of how time consuming it is... (which is why I have about 3 or 4 mods on the go at any one time)

Problem is I'm only doing concept designs, not pixel art. Also, I'm not sure which weapons of Sol would best fit Soldat... this is the last poll, then I'l just need more pixel art.

This topic is pretty old and it's still alive... I wish you luck but one thing is really bothering me...with so much time you could learn how to make pixel art at your own. No offence.

Dairy, designing an entire universe is way different from making mods of preexisting games, say, like R6V.

Also, it makes suceeding in the mod a bit more gratifying, because you know that what you've done is entirely your work. Being a writer of sorts myself, I can relate.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Alright, I have to explain what's happened.

The group that was going to produce the main game, which would have been a multiplayer FPS, essentially kicked out the project manager/creator for being a do-nothing sillykins. He took as many rights as possible with him.

This means I can not use the names "OMNI," or "FTF," or any of the character names previously used. The OMNI society makeup is also held by him, and if he liked to, he could prove his ownership of those rights, so OMNI is pretty much off-limits for now.

I have retained all weapons, fortunately, except the flamer SMG some of you might remember, as it was originally his design. I revamped it entirely myself, but I don't mind losing it, as it was a stupid concept anyway.

So there. Sorry to everyone who contributed to or hoped for this mod. I would like to do something else, but with my future plans and generally busy schedule/life that outlook is looking less likely. I haven't even designed a firearm in ages, if it's any consolation.

Consider this mod canceled.
