Just a note for all Australian and New Zealand players who read these forums and may have stumbled across this thing:


It is not a hack in true essence, but it indeed gives a player an unfair advantage online.

For this reason, this mod is BANNED from use on ALL GameArena servers.  You will probably find yourself banned from Xtra servers also. 

Anyone who is suspected of using such mods that give a player such an advantage will be warned once only. If no change is seen they WILL be banned.

First of all, I would like to state that like 90% of players, including famed players, use aimbot when playing the Barret. Otherwise, the weapon is useless in public servers. Barret requires precise teamplay, and that never happens in public CTF or INF servers, so players, all players, even famed players, use aimbot for getting an ersatz of the team skills. Even when this is illegal and lame, like 90% of Barret players do so, specially when a highly skilled unknown player, like me, appears at a public server.

For me, an auto-grenade-spas player, is specially gratifying playing against dudes who are able to master such unbalanced weapons like Barret, M79 or Ruger. You learn really much on map tactics, squad position, and thingies like that. But it is very lame when you notice that like 90% of one-shot-killers use aimbots or some other kind of hax. And it's even lamer when you see them claiming some kind of untouchableness. Haxors are lame, illegal, gameplay killers, MM troublemakers, and anybody supporting them or any kind of haxing is the same grey.

Because that's another point out of many. When voting a hax-kick at a server, it's ok kicking other team haxors, but not so ok kicking my team haxors. Haxors and their supporters in votations should be kicked out of a legal server, and permbanned if possible.

Detecting haxors is possible. High ping is not always a good idea. Aimbot, the most sutile hak, generates few ping in the haxor, but pings to crazy the possible objective. Specially if it's a tracking aimbot. Many players use such trackers against me because I am a specially tough gunner, so I know them pretty well. The one ping-kicked for haxing use to be me, as there's like 5 aimbot trackers against me, all pinging me at the same time, when I raid foe's base, and my lag jumps to 1000. Does anybody deserve ban for being aimbot pinged? Does anybody's name deserve bad reputation for being illegally spoted? 99% of public server administrators think so.

But as I said before, haxors are easily detectable. Even famed players who only use hax against unknown clanless n00bs can be catched in the act. Above all in realistic servers. In realistic, self bullets harm, and Barret bullets specially harm self. But while you can deadly shower yourself with ak74, mk5 or deagles, you cannot do so with Barret. Why not? Simply because a Barret bullet shot upwards lands in the sun. So, how can be the only way a player killing himself with Barret? HAX! Even players like L**, *e* or **o (I give no names, I give facts) hak when they face what they think being nubile sprayers, get powned, and reply with lame attitudes, shielded by some pointless status making them think they can use hax, aimbots or whatever. Hax are never justified, neither for fun. Go hax your fo*king sys.

I have developed special tactics against haxors, and now I am skilled enough for dodging Barret fire even in triple crossed fire fields, even aimbot Barrets. It requires good timing and high kinetic/high control weapons, like spas or mp5, but after long time being hacked and using no hax I am able to do it. Simply get a high speed running, then go for blank point, and you will be able to run the complete half screen in less time than startup time of the Barret. Don't fire in the direction of the run, or you will be stopped in your effort unmasking the hiddeous haxor. Pump your way with the spas, or vomit lead with the mp5. Anything, but get his confident back. In the last 3 or 4 steps, dodge or flipback, movements the Barret aimbot cannot track, and executed while the foe's ping trigger annoys your connection. And as the aimbotter fires, you will realize that the shot of the pretentious master sniper kills you, despite you got his back, but also kills him! You go it: selfkill with Barret. Only possible if Barreter was hacking. Whatever is his name.

After my exposition of the facts, I will offer some pictures of celebrities caught in the act. I wish more people from the community will try the same.

My conclussion is that one-shot-killers promote hacking, and thus should be banned. They are only usefull for allowing haxors with no life laughing at newcommers in public servers, and making These ones think they should never have stopped playing Diablo 2. With hax around, newbies never achieve to get really into the community, neither enjoy the gameplay, and thus don't pay for the fun, because there's no fun. Allowing players to keep their names clean and away of unfair suspicions is main for making the game grow and achieving to be a community of pros. OSK require special skills only available in teamply matches, wich doesn't use to happen in public servers, much more adrenalitic. I should also consider that hax control should not be carried in the Soldat client, because increases ping and decreases gameplay, but in the server. Is it bad to hack playing against Boogey Man? Dunno. It's bad pinging me. For real. I spit fire. Leave server admins decide if they want certain players to harax their nubs or not. I will run away from those server and from the clans represented by them. Registration required systems for logging in servers could be ok, and leave a public user with no password for getting guests, and optionally disable this user. This way you get minimal client net work, exhaustive session logging, and confidence exhaustive check. Bravo!

Possibly it's a different topic, but I thought it to be the place as it was the only thread on Barrets and hax. Move it at security matters or wherever. The point is: give newcommers a way to get a name (clans, tours, registering, whatever), or they will take it by themselves (hacking). Fun clans, lame admin servers also lead to the desperate way of selfjustice.

90% is a figure. Does figures matter in sucurity aspects? Ocassionally, I've found 100% of Barret users hacking. Nothing to say about M79 users. They all hack in public servers with such lame weapon for selfdefense purposes.

And how can you be 100% sure 100% hacks? A high ping or having a high skill on certain weapons, doesn't automatically means they hack.

Selfkill with Barret in realistic means 100% hax. And there's other signs only logable by the server, like irregular "JFK" bullet traces, and so on... Jet fuel, health, ammo, and so, should be accounted by server.

Also being killed by "no weapon" means 100% hax. I have been killed quite often by "invisible weapon", or whatever. I guess it's in real a /death command.
