And we are quite thankfull (atleast i can speak for me). But at the same time these forums are for input. If people dont want it then stop asking. My hat is off to everyone who works on Soldat. Without them... Obviously we would not have this game. Again, the problem is people dont feel like they are being listened to. When a game is made Beta it is made to be tested. Good or bad the Beta is gathering negative AND positive feedback. Thats what its for.

And I nearly came when I saw the new B2b.

This has got to be the biggest shit I've ever seen. The map proportions are not the same. I feel like being an elephant instead of a flea. Besides that the new maps are full off sceneries which make it annoying to play. And the placement of the polygons make it hard to run fast and the new maps look too boxy...

I vote "No" for new maps.

With every soldat release, why do you have to ruin something?

Better question: With every soldat release, why do various impatient, ungrateful, greedy members bash the hard work of others?

Well yeah. Run looks the same but I wasn't only talking about Run. Could you do that kind of polyworks thing about Laos too?

jrgp: Say whatever you want but I'm not the only one who doesn't like the new maps.

Well, with the public beta, I haven't had any major problems except for one. With the beta installed, I can no longer operate the original Soldat 1.5 game.

So anyways, has anyone had problems with the auto updates for 1.5.1.2 to 1.5.1.3?

Mine updated twice, and im not sure if it actually worked because Anti-Aliasing still isnt working like the changelog said it would (using Win7 pro 32bit) - Also the game wouldn't "restart" after the update so i clicked the icon on my desktop..

Edit:  I just figured out that i'm still on 1.5.1.2 instead of 1.5.1.3, so the update failed and it doesnt seem to ask me to update when i start the game.

I did not have any problems with it. I did have to get out of Soldat completely in order for it restart. Other then that. No problem

Just tested it this morning, in my opinion:

- the weapon balance is fine.
- remakes of maps are strange... especially Dropdown and laos
- Soldat portal is a joke or what ? Everyone can steal a nick, its useless, soldat isnt a MMORPGGGG gosh and we have Irc for that (Friends list ?? what the hell). Useless feature once again imo.
- still some fps problems.

Everyone can steal a nick,

ummm no they can't. If you're registered and link your reg key with your Soldat portal account, NO ONE can take your nick. Which means Grenade Juggler Joe is only ever ME.

But why this system ? We have Irc to gather players around the world and even xfire for newcomers, its more efficient imo, soldat chat failed... A beginner just want to play for example on a 2d game and now he has to create an account, reg his key, protect his nick ? waaahh... Seriously, not a easy step for newcomers and not a efficient thing to get more players on our favorite 2d game.

Would I be able to use the nick -Grenade Juggler Joe- though? I guess if their in-game mates recognise their nick down to the last character it could be handy for those people. Seems like a lot to go through for a protection of one way of typing the nick you use.

Portal had better end up s**tting gold dust or something in next versions because at the moment it just doesn't seem worth it.

You sir may in fact be stupid. (Click for size comparison.)

Actually this "old-map-new-map"-comparison is quite interesting. Could you do this for the other changed ctf-maps (like laos, lanubya, run, ...)?

I can't believe how someone can f**k up one of the best alternative routes in Soldat by doing so few changes.

I can't believe how someone can not compensate those few changes by playing it for some days.

I dont think over powered is the problem. But when you can fire round after round without having to stop to reload (because its reloading as it fires)... Its a slight advantage. And to be honest with you i have used it in certain situations just for that reason. And that does in fact give it a slight unfair advantage.

What the hell. Fucking read the below, READ IT.
You typed this!

And that does in fact give it a slight unfair advantage.

Now repeat with me:

Above equals overpowered

unfair advantage = overpowered
