 I really do wish you'd tell me what guns you have issues with, TbC, since I'd like to see if I can fix the ones with proportional or detail issues. I do have an odd sense of deja vu though... *peers into old thread*
 Thought I might update this thread after an extended period of neglect. Well, not really neglect, there just wasn't much to report on. Got bogged down with some Photoshop projects. Anyways, after some extensive testing I decided that I really didn't give the Covenant weapons enough punch -- the needler's been great since the last update, but the carbine has much to be desired and the plasma rifle was a bit on the weak side.
 To give the Covies a bit more love in development I made another copy of Soldat so I can quickly develop the Covie weapons without being distracted by the Human [kickass] guns... so that should alleviate some problems since one of the main reasons why the mod's behind was because the Covie weapons were underdeveloped. Would be nice also if someone could find a picture of the Plasma Cannon's shot in-game.

 Wondering whether or not to also implement pure stationary guns such as the Shade turret since it would cause some problems with bullet trails.
Also considering a menu graphical change which would circumvent the nasty fact that kills are attributed to bullet-entity instead of gun-entity. However that would mean that you won't be able to tell who was killed with what on the kill-log. Opinions?

Lol. Why would you want to change the bullet-entity against the gun-entity thing outside of wanting the kill log to show right? If you kill the kill-log in the process is there a point?

What actually is left in the kill log if you change that? It seems like it would take out almost everything...

As for the covie weapons...Well I don't have your build but the plasma rifle looks pretty good to me. Well, there is always room for improvement I suppose. ;)

The main reason would be the only place I would add a Mauler would be as either the SOCOM or Deagle replacement -- it would be too underpowered as a Spas replacement. However, having the Mauler shoot Spas rounds like it should would cause conflict in that the kill-log would show Mauler kills as Spas kills.

What it comes down to, though is knowing whether or not Mauler shots can be seen in-game in Halo 3. If yes, then I'll scrap the idea and put the Mauler as the Spas replacement. If not, then this idea might still be open to debate.

But the weapon is pretty obviously a shotgun. Don't forsake gameplay for the sake of appearances. If anything just get a balance for both the normal bullet and shotgun versions.

You kinda deserved that. The "whine much" part is especially funny since your post before that was just sour grapes over Espadon not liking your mods. If you don't like the mod, help him out by telling him what's wrong with it. If you don't like him, keep the hell out of his mod thread*. And, no offense, but accusing him of being jealous borders on delusional, at the very least because he never gave any clue of it.


Also, just to clarify, he wasn't being serious with that "Australian" bit. That was baiting.

I totally agree with you, but I'm really wondering at this point how many people are going to come at me constantly asking why I made the Mauler show up as M90 on the killconsole. Wait, did you mean that I should put the Mauler in the Spas slot or...?

Really need to kick myself in the ass to keep working on the Covie guns. Muh.
