inf Waldfestung !revamped!

~>inf Waldfestung v3.1<~

This map was dying to have another update.  Thanks to Leo hosting it on his INF server, I realized that more changes were necessary.  At the time of this map's original release, Soldat was still at version 1.3.1.

Polygons: 664
Scenery: 305
Spawns: 20
Colliders: 40
Waypoints: Yes, 99% Functional
Dimensions: 3521x1092

Hey, speak of the devil.  Yesterday marked the 2 year anniversary for this map.


Version 3.0
Alpha spawn added to the right side of the bravo base, otherwise the screenshot says it all. Credits to the creator of "TW_Sahara" for the barbed wire cover in the middle.

Just for doing it a lil harder for bravo and to get some balance overall, I'd prefer to have there something like this:

I like it, nicely themed and detailed. Don't have much more to say about really. Just jelousy since I can't release any map and you come with a new one every week =P

Haha, just the opposite.  This map has been sitting around forever.. and I've put off updating it for a long time.  So yes, every week or so, I either revise something or attempt something new; but I don't make completely new maps that I actually finish very often  (:

@Smiluu: yea, there needs to be a new route as I've noticed.. I play it, and usually all the combat funnels into the front of the base, and Alpha rarely gets anywhere.  Thanks for the sketch.

Edit:

I actually have several more unfinished INF maps sitting around in my inventory.. as I haven't seen very many INF maps being thought up lately, I thought that I might as well attempt a little revive.

I think the map is quit good untill now, but I would highly suggest to make the forest "deeper". It does not look like you are really IN the forest, it just looks like you run besides one ;D The colourset at the forestparts dont seem to fit the theme you want to get at, I would colour it more brownish, but anyway, gameplay seems to be good and that is the importanst thing [pigtail]

Nice but it can't load scenery files with weird characters. Please fix, I want to add this at my INF server.

Oh bother.. I never fixed that typo in the little map phrase..

Thanks to you, you did not overloaded your map, and the graphics are nonetheless good. The "going and coming back" difficulty is okay, if we consider both teams are equal, as well as the difficulty to defend is average.

However, does Alpha team spawn in front of the cave? Because if it spawns IN it,  spawn-kill would be a problem here..

I'll try and go play on INF Leo's server, hoping to test it.
